New this year is the “Long” Haul Award, which will award $125 to the driver that failed to qualify but had the longest tow to get to the track.
As is the case with every 358 Modified race this season, GME Manufacturing LLC from New Ringold, PA, one of the top performance steering builders & rebuilders in the nation, will award a $25 gift certificate for use off a rebuild of a steering gear (any brand) to the hard charger in the Modified feature.
Another weekly award for both the 358 Modifieds and Roadrunners is the Red, White, and Blue Autos Inc. Hard Luck Award. The management of Big Diamond Speedway will pick a driver who had bad luck that night from each of those two divisions based on the evenings racing results. The driver picked as the hard luck driver in each division will be admitted for free the following week, courtesy of the fine folks at Red, White, and Blue Autos Inc. To be eligible for this award, drivers must have a Red, White, and Blue Autos Inc. sticker on the right side of their car that will be provided to them at the track. The goal of this award is to help ease the pain of someone who may have had engine issues, incurred a flat tire while running near the front of the pack, or any other sort of issue that brings an abrupt and unfortunate end to their evening.
It's going to be a fantastic race, and we hope to see you there.
