TWIN 35-LAP FEATURES FOR THE MODIFIEDS OFFERS $6500 PAYOFF IF ONE DRIVER WINS BOTH AT GRANDVIEW
BECHTELSVILLE, PA March15, 2013 . . . Grandview Speedway will showcase the
NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds on Saturday, April 13. The
Modified racers will have the opportunity to race in two 35-lap feature races
with each paying $3,000 to win plus a $250 bonus courtesy of TP Trailers of
Limerick, PA. A Modified racer that has the right combination for the night
could very well walk off with $6500.
The special show will also include a full card of racing for the Late Models (now running 25 lap features) and the Sportsman stock cars. Racing will get the green at 7 p.m.
Bux-Mont Awards, with locations in Lansdale and Sellersville, PA, will provide large custom trophies to the winners of each feature race on April 13.
Many of the racers in the Modifieds will be participating in the $150,000 American Racer Cup Northeast Dirt Modified championship. The battle continues until September for the Racer Cup. Grandview champion Duane Howard earned an extra $10,000 as the Racer Cup champion last season. In addition to point money there are other rewards, including American Racer tires, that can be earned by the racers.
New this year will be the American Racer Cup for Sportsman giving that division of competition a chance to earn thousands of dollars in cash and product awards. Information on the American Racer Cup can be found at www.dirtmodcup.com.
Racers in all three divisions have the opportunity to earn some serious money as part of the Grandview Speedway point fund and the NASCAR point fund.
Another perk for racers at Grandview includes Hard Charger awards posted for each division of competition every Saturday night during the regular NASCAR racing season. The Late Model Hard Charger award is sponsored by Jeff Teets’ Salvage Transport, the Sportsman are charging for Searock Lawn Care money and the Modifieds chase the extra cash posted by Bobby Gunther Walsh and his sponsors.
The 2013 season will get started with the free-to-the-public practice session on Saturday, March 30th starting at 12 noon. The practice is open to all divisions of competition. Season passes will be available and those already have season passes will be able to pick their reserved seat for the season.
The chase for the lucrative point funds will get started on Saturday, April 6th at 7 p.m. with a tripleheader show of NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman kicking off the 51st consecutive season of stock car racing. The Modified racers will be using the season opener as a tune-up for the big money twin-35 lap races scheduled for April 13.
A full color brochure outlining the marketing opportunities available at Grandview, along with pricing, can be had by emailing Ernie Saxton at Esaxton144@aol.com or telephone 215.752.7797.
