RULES FOR ICEBREAKER WEEKEND V AT SELINSGROVE ANNOUNCED

            Selinsgrove, Pa.   The weekend rules package for the Icebreaker Weekend V at Selinsgrove has been announced by JGK Motorsports and the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour. The Icebreaker Weekend V at Selinsgrove takes place on Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th with a rain date of Sunday March 18th at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
            “ The rules are exactly the same as they were last year with a better clarification of the carburetor rules for the Friday night show “ said Joe Kaminski, Jr. of JGK Motorsports. “ I’m a firm believer that when you make rule changes you end up costing the racers money. “
            The weekend tire rule is as follows; American Racer brand tires only with a 44 compound for the left rear all weekend and a 48 compound for the right rear all weekend. For the front 33 compound or harder is allowed both nights and no Late Model tires will be allowed.
            Tires for the weekend are now available through BFP Specialty 717 – 933 – 4999 who will be on hand all weekend long.
            All weekend long standard Modified body rules are in effect which includes no sail panels or big door panels.
            All weekend long all cars will be required to have a transponder, Selinsgrove Speedway does have transponders to rent in case any team doesn’t have one. Drivers are reminded that all weekend long anytime they are on the race track they must have fire proof drivers gloves on. All weekend long all drivers are reminded that they must be using the Raceiver System with a frequency of 454.000 and no two way radio communication will be allowed.
            For the Friday night March 16th small block Modified show no engines over 363 cubic inches will be allowed and no engines with SB 2 heads will be allowed.
            Engines with 10.5 to 1 compression or under can use racing gasoline or racing methanol and can use an unaltered 650 or 750 cfm carburetor must weigh a minimum of 2,350 pounds after the race. All carburetors must pass the go / no go ball check after qualifying for the feature.
            Engines over 10.5 to 1 compression must weigh a minimum of 2,450 pounds and can only use racing gasoline and an unaltered 650 cfm carburetor. The carburetor must pass the go / no go ball check after qualifying for the feature.
            For the Saturday March 17th show all big block Modifieds must use racing gasoline and weigh 2,500 after the race.
Any car using a small block engine ( under 363 cubic inches ) must use racing gasoline and use an unaltered 750 cfm carburetor and weigh 2,350 pounds after the race. The carburetor must pass the go / no go ball check.
