Press Release SSCS@Grandview

The Sunday Small Car Series at Grandview Speedway is a reality, a lot of planning has gone into the series and with the help of the management of Grandview Speedway, PJKProductions and sponsorship the series will see action in late April of the 2012 season.
Small car racing has seen action at Grandview Speedway in the past but never all on one day under, one promotion, “small car racing racing has been very successful in the past at Grandview” says Pete Knappenberger, creator and promoter of the SSCS, “I participated in a few of the Micro 270 races at the facility and that’s why I want to bring it back to the speedway.”
“We will be announcing many great sponsors in the next few months, says Knappenberger and hopefully more to come, we need all the help we can get in order to make this series a success.”

The series has announced that they will not charge a “car entry fee” to the drivers there will only be a $30.00 pit entry for everyone entering the pit area. The “more money” race however will have a higher pit gate admission price and will have a “car entry fee but in return there will be higher purse being offered to the race teams”

The SSCS has announced that in order to get fans in the stands we will only charge $5.00 for spectators over 16, and $2.00 for spectators 6-15yrs of age and under 5years of age free.
During the season there will be several promotions for the fans, for example, bring your ticket stub from another small car track and receive $1.00 off of your adult admission price.
“We will have a weekly fan appreciation promotion”, Pete says, “buy 3 adult tickets for $15.00 and receive the fourth one free.” There will also be weekly giveaways for the kids.

"I hope that the series is a success, I think this is just what the sport needs, small cars at a big track on a regular basis." Pete Knappenberger said.

Pay out will be determined by the car count in the pit area, the series is guaranteeing the winners on a weekly basis, $350 to win for the 600 Micros and the 270 Micros, the Slingshots will receive $250 for their efforts and the 600 Modified will use the series as a tour race so their pay will be dictated by their series, but will be at least $325 to win on a weekly basis.
Come check out the SSCS @ Grandview Speedway… you will be glad you did!!
