GEEZER GETS A DNS (DID NOT SHIFT)…

Last Saturday night the #22 was ready for action after a long week of hard work by many… Cathy, Al, Todd, Mike, Dan, they each worked extra hours to have the car ready  for action, THANKS!

QUICK RESULTS:

The race night crew of Cathy, Al, Todd and Bob Higginbotham were ready for action in the 22 pit stall Saturday , and the driver was anxious to try a few new changes to the carb (compliments of Todd Lapp) and test the strength of a tig weld (compliments of Mike Kelly) done on rear bell, but to no avail. We backed up the 22 to go out for hot laps and shifter froze, causing us to load the car and dig in after the event. We tried everything imaginable at the track to attempt to make a run, but nothing would have worked. Jeff Paulson was kind enough to tear into it and found the c clip that holds main bearing inside trans came loose and fell between shifter fork and gears. The TP Trailer Modified feature was actually rained out, so that will be run this Saturday before our qualifying heats for this week’s feature. The 305 sprint cars put on a good show and got their feature in as Scott Lutz won. We have parts ordered and will be back at this Saturday (see below for details).
