JEFF STRUNK EARNS MORE THAN $25,000 FOR SIXTH FREEDOM 76 WIN AT GRANDVIEW
For the sixth time in his long career Jeff Strunk was able to drive to victory in the rich Freedom 76 Modified Classic, the 46th edition, at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night.
Second spot went to track champion Craig VonDohren followed by visitor Rick Laubach, last week’s feature winner Doug Manmiller and Ryan Watt.
Rick Laubach was able to hold off track champion Craig VonDohren and Mike Gular to win the Cash Dash earning $1000.
The Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20, the last chance for racers to make the starting field for the Freedom 76, was won by Kyle Borror.
A quality field of 55 Modified stock cars was entered in the events.
Next event at Grandview Speedway is set for Sunday, September 25th at noon when the Outlaw Enduros and Blast from the Past Vintage racers compete in a doubleheader show.
The next Saturday night, 6 p.m.show is October 15th when a NAPA Thunder on the Hill Series event will include the Modifieds, Sportsman, TSRS Sprints and Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
