SPRING RUN, PA (September 11, 2016) – Fred Rahmer Promotions returns to Path Valley Speedway on Sunday, September 25 with a renewed plan of action highlighting the excitement that Micro Sprint has to offer – a two-division double-header featuring the 600cc Winged Micro Sprints and 270cc Winged Micro Sprints.
The 410 Sprint Cars have been removed from the schedule.
“I’m excited to present this opportunity to the Micro Sprint racers in the region. They work hard and put on a great show for the fans,” said event promoter Fred Rahmer. “410 Sprint Car racing is oversaturated with events right now – it makes it hard on the promoters and the fans.”
The 600cc and 270cc Winged Micro Sprints will follow similar race formats. Competitors will draw for starting positions, then enter into qualifying heat races and last chance qualifiers.
The 600cc Micro Sprint 30-lap feature will pay $1,400 to the race winner and the 270cc Micro Sprint feature will pay $1,000 to the race winner.
Both the 600cc and 270cc Race winners will be offered a guaranteed starting position in the Path Valley Speedway 16th Annual Sprint Car Nationals on Saturday, October 1; and the 600cc Micro Sprint winner will be offered a guaranteed starting position at the Linda’s Speedway National Open on October 14 and 15.
This event is open to all competitors, and no pre-registration is required. There is a $40.00 registration fee.
The 600cc Micro Sprint competitor Perfect Attendance bonuses include random drawings for an XXX Micro Sprint Racing Chassis, a $500 Hyper Racing Gift Certificate, and a test session in one of Fred Rahmer’s RBR Racing 410 Sprint Cars. An additional test session will be awarded to the competitor that wins the season-long Micro Sprint Point Standings.
General Admission Tickets for Sunday, September 25 at Spring Run, PA’s Path Valley Speedway are $5. Pit Admission is $30.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM with racing at 4:30 PM.
