46TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 MODIFIED CLASSIC OFFERS $25,000 TO WINNER AT GRANDVIEW ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 4, 2016 . . . Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis, Duane Howard and Billy Pauch Sr. have all won the Freedom 76 Modified Classic multiple times and it is quite possible that all of them will be competing for another opportunity to collect the $25,000 first place money when the Granddaddy of area big dollar Modified events is presented.

                It all happens this Saturday, September 10 at Grandview Speedway when many of the top names in dirt track Modified stock car racing are expected to battle for a starting spot in the 76-lap race and then the win.
                Veteran racer Ray Swinehart, a winner in 2005, will be looking to win the event for the second time as he leads a wide array of racing talent searching to take the win in the prestigious event.
                Garden State racing talents Ryan Godown, Mark Pishock and Billy Pauch Jr. top a list of visitors that are expected.
                Billy Pauch Sr. leads all the winners with six victories while VonDohren and Strunk have five wins. VonDohren won his first Freedom 76 in 1985.
                Racing will get the green flag at 7 p.m. with a number of qualifying events, consolation races, Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20, $1,000 to win Cash Dash leading up to the 76-lapper.
                Advance ticket holders will be admitted at 3 p.m. with the ticket windows open at 3:30 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $40 while youngsters 6 through 11 pay $10. Kids under 6 are admitted FREE.

                Rain date is Saturday, September 17th.
                On Friday night (September 9) the popular TSRS 305 Sprints will be in action along with the Sportsman stock cars. The Sprints, led by champion Mike Haggenbottom, will top their part of the show with a 25 lap feature while the Sportsman racers will run in a 38 lap main event. In addition the Modifieds taking part in the Saturday racing action will able to practice during the Friday night show.
                Adult admission is priced at $12 while young people, 6 through 11, are admitted for $5. Kids under 6 are admitted Free. This is no rain date for the Friday show.
                The next scheduled event at Grandview Speedway is Sunday, September 25th with Enduro racing and Blast from the Past Vintage racers in action. It all gets underway at noon. Adult admission is $10.
