It’s another triple header show this Saturday night at the Bridgeport Speedway as everyone looks forward to action returning to the 5/8 mile track after losing last week’s show to Mother Nature!
The most recent feature winner, Broomall, PA driver, Jim Britt is looking forward to getting back on the track where he claimed his first career feature win in Spirit Auto Center Big Block Modified division just two weeks ago. Britt drove through the smoke screen coming from the car of multi-time track champion, Duane Howard as the leaders headed to the checkered flag. Britt came through the cloud of smoke to edge Howard at the finish line for the win. Howard held on to finish second followed by Sam Martz, Ron Roberts and Ryan Watt.
While Britt took an engine borrowed from Steve Davis to Victory Lane in the Modifieds, Davis did his part, picking up his second win of the season in the Stewart Stainless Crate/Sportsman event. Davis led three time feature winner, Matt Stangle to the checkered flag with rookie driver, Roger Manning earning a third place finish in just his fifth start! Eric Kormann and Bobby Lilick rounded out the top five.
The PennCo Tech Outlaw Stocks will return to action this Saturday with eight time feature winner, TJ Henry leading the way. Tom Wills, Jr. has one win to date and sits on top of the point standings followed by Brian Ludwig and Scott Dugan who are each looking for their first win of the season.
And it is Powder Puff night as well!! The women will have their chance to compete at the end of the regular feature events. The ladies will take to the quarter mile track to test their talents against each other.
Come out early. Take in the musical entertainment along with the tasty offerings of the Bridgeport Speedway concession stands. Shop for a new racing t-shirt or another souvenir. Pick up the Bridgeport Bullet - the official program of the Bridgeport Speedway - and check out all of the recent race results, driver rosters and loads of photos. Or take a ride with the Bridgeport Bandit on the Bandit Bus and get an up close look at the behind the scenes action in the pit area before the racing action gets underway.
And don't forget - the Bridgeport Speedway is the ONLY place where you can see the Big Block Modifieds in action in the state of New Jersey! The Bridgeport Speedway is committed to maintaining a safe, fun, family atmosphere, creating life-lasting memories of excitement!
