46th ANNUAL $25,000 TO WIN FREEDOM 76 FEATURES TOP NAMES ON SEPTEMBER 10
BECHTELSVILLE, PA AUGUST 31, 2016 . . . The championships in all three divisions of NASCAR stock car racing at Grandview Speedway will be decided this Saturday, September 3. With this being one of the most competitive seasons, 24 different feature winners, seen at the one-third-mile, banked clay oval the Saturday night action is expected to be some of the best of the season.
T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds will top the night of action with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. The BRC Late Models and Sportsman will also be part of the WNPV-1440AM Radio sponsored night of racing that will close out the 2016 point racing season.
Eight time Modified champion Craig VonDohren has a 146 point edge over Mike Gular in the chase for the 2016 T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified championship. Jordan Henn leads the point battle in the Sportsman division by just 39 points over Mike Lisowski and Chuck Schutz is on top in the BRC Late Model point battle by 236 points over Wayne Pfeil.
At least 12 events of racing will top the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with adult admission set at $15 while youngsters under 12 admitted free. Active military are admitted free with proper ID.
At 5 p.m. the Low Down and Dirty Radio Meet Greet will feature racers signing autographs, posing for pictures and showing off their race cars. Included will be ten time Modified champion Jeff Strunk along with Sportsman talents Joe Funk and Mike Lisowski.
Advance tickets for the 46thAnnual Freedom 76 Classic for Modifieds will be on sale. Fans buying the advance tickets pay $35 while on race day, September 10th, the price will be $40. Youngsters 6 through 11 pay $10 and kids under 6 are admitted free.
Those interested in supporting the event by being a Lap Sponsor can do that on Saturday for just $20. Lap sponsors are listed in the special edition program book, on the track website and get mentions of the public address system. Tina Rogers and Tommy Kramer along with track announcer Jeff Ahlum can handle the Lap Sponsor orders. Saturday will be the last opportunity sign up for a Lap Sponsorship.
Coming up on Friday, September 9th, 7 p.m. the traveling Sprint organization, TSRS 305 Sprinters, will be in action along with the Sportsman and they will top off their part of the doubleheader with a 38 lap feature. Adult admission is $12 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.
And then on Saturday, September 10th, 7 p.m. the granddaddy of big money Modified races, the 46thAnnual Freedom 76 Classic, paying $25,000 to win, will take place. Many well-known names in dirt track Modified racing will be taking part. There will be a full series of qualifying races, a $1,000 to win Cash Dash, Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 and the 76-lap main event. Adult admission is priced at $40, youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10 and kids under 6 are admitted free.
