SATURDAY NIGHT QUICK RESULTS FROM GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

DUANE HOWARD TOPS THE T.P.TRAILERS MODIFIEDS ON SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW, RON KLINE WINS THIRD LATE MODEL FEATURE OF THE SEASON AND RYAN LILICK TOPS IN SPORTSMAN

After a multi-car accident put him out of the feature last week Duane Howard came back on Saturday night to win the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway for his third victory of the season as part of A.D.Moyer Lumber Night. Former BRC Late Model champion Ron Kline was able to hold off some strong challenges to gain his third BRC Late Model feature win of the season. And for the second time this season Ryan Lilick was able to win the 25-lap Sportsman feature race.
Finishing close behind Howard in the Modified feature was veteran Frank Cozze followed by point leader Craig VonDohren, Mike Gular and Doug Manmiller.
Randy Stoudt had to settle for second in the 25-lap BRC Late Model feature followed by Wayne Pfeil, point leader Chukc Schutz and Brian Sipe.
Joe Funk came home second in the 25-lap Sportsman main event while Jordan Henn grabbed third followed by Andrew Kreis and Brad Arnold.
Dave Smith grabbed the win in the 15-lap A feature for the Vintage racers while Ron Myers took home the top prize in the 15-lap B feature.
At Grandview Speedway Saturday, September 3, the battle for the championships in all three divisions of NASCAR sanctioned stock car racing comes to an end. The WNPV-1440AM Radio sponsored night of racing will feature the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars starting at 7:30 p.m.
This will be the final point races of the season for the Bechtelsville track. The top spot in the season long chase for the title in each division will earn the top finisher a healthy payoff from both NASCAR and the track.
Many of the Modified racers will also be using the night to get some additional track time as they prepare for the Granddaddy of area classics, the 46th Annual Freedom 76 paying $25,000 to win and taking place on Saturday, September 10th. Many of the top names in Modified racing will be taking part.
