Defending NASCAR Modified champion and current point leader Craig VonDohren wheeled to his 100th career Grandview Modified feature win, his fifth of the season, on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. Former champion Brian Shuey was able to drive to his fifth BRC Late Model feature victory and Paul Kline was able to drive to his third Sportsman feature win of the season.
Mike Gular and Jeff Strunk kept the point battle close as they finished second and third in the 30-lap T.P.Trailers Modified feature while Brett Kressley and Kenny Gilmore followed in that order.
Young Dan Green came home second in the 25-lap Late Model feature followed by Wayne Pfeil, current point leader Chuck Schutz and Ron Kline.
Craig Whitmoyer finished second in the 25-lap feature for Sportsman while Brad Arnold was able to grab third.
NASCAR stock car racing action returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday, August 27th, featuring the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman along with Blast from the Past Vintage racers. The night of racing is sponsored by A.D.Moyer Lumber and gets started at 7:30 p.m.Just two nights of point racing remain in the 2016 season.
And on Sunday, August 28th the Outlaw Enduro Series and Vintage Cars will be in action starting at 1 p.m. There will be twin 60-lap features for Enduro big cars and twin 60-lap features for Enduro small cars. A Ladies race is open all ladies and there will be two-15-lap Vintage car feature races. Adult admission is $10 with all youngsters 12 and under admitted for free. Four lucky youngsters get a chance to throw the green flag for the start of a feature race.
