BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 24, 2016 . . . Just two Saturday nights of NASCAR point racing remain in the 2016 stock car racing season at Grandview Speedway. Each of the laps run in the A.D. Moyer Lumber Night events will have special importance. Each position gained or lost could have significant impact on several drivers as they battle to move up in the final season standings
NASCAR stock car racing action returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday featuring the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman along with Blast from the Past Vintage racers. The night of racing gets started at 7:30 p.m.
Going into Saturday nightdefending champion Craig VonDohren leads the NASCAR Modified standings, Craig Whitmoyer is on top in the Sportsman and defending champion Chuck Schutz leads the Late Models.
At 5 p.m. four racers will be taking part in the Low Down and Dirty Radio Meet & Greet. Included will be Modified standout Doug Manmiller, Late Model racing brothers Cory and Sean Merkel along with Sportsman talent Mark Kemmerer.
Advance tickets for the 46thannual Freedom 76 Modified Classic scheduled for September 10th will be on sale. Priced at $35 when purchased in advance,that is a $5 savings from what the tickets will cost on race day. And the tickets can be ordered by mail, send a check covering the cost of tickets being ordered along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Orders must be received by September 2nd.
Lap sponsorships priced at $20 each are available by contacting Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 or see Tina Rogers or Tommy Kramer on race night. Laps can also be purchased by sending $20 for each lap wanted along with how the lap or laps should be listed to Ernie Saxton, 1448 Hollywood Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. Check should be payable to Grandview Speedway.
Also fans are reminded that on the night before the Freedom 76 a doubleheader show featuring Sportsman (38 lap feature) and TSRS Sprints. Racing on both nights will start at 7 p.m.
And on Sunday, August 28th the Outlaw Enduro Series and Vintage Cars will be in action starting at 1 p.m. There will be twin 60-lap features for Enduro big cars and twin 60-lap features for Enduro small cars. A Ladies race is open all ladies and there will be two-15-lap Vintage car feature races. Adult admission is $10 with all youngsters 12 and under admitted for free. Four lucky youngsters get a chance to throw the green flag for the start of a feature race.
The final point events will be run on Saturday, September 3rd when WNPV-1440 AM Radio presents another tripleheader show of T.P.Trailers Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman.
