For the ninth consecutive year, the IRCO Community Federal Credit Union will be an active participant and associate sponsor of the Dirt Track Heroes Car Show to take place at the Phillipsburg Mall (Route 22 East, Phillipsburg, NJ). The show will open on Sunday, March 6 and continue through Saturday, March 12, 2016. This show is absolutely free to the mall walkers and offers a great advantage for race teams and speedway’s alike to gain valuable exposure for their sponsors and to announce their schedules for the 2016 racing season. The show offers a successful gathering of the past, present and future of auto racing with race cars from all divisions. In addition, you will also see a multitude of racing memorabilia, collectible and photos on display as part of the show.
The longtime broadcasting team Steve and Ed Pados, from Gasoline Alley fame and veteran announcer Bobby Stull will head up the announcing team for the show. The Pados Brothers are already busy dialing the phone to invite special guests and key note nightly speakers who will bring back the great racing memories of racing days past. The bulk of the discussions center around tracks like the Flemington Fair Speedway, the Reading Fairgrounds, Nazareth Speedway, Dorney Park and East Windsor Speedway. But the topics are wide open to talk about all race tracks.
IRCO Vice President Greg Collins, who also serves as the noted historian of the of the Harmony Speedway will be part of management team working with show organizers Bob and Donna Miller.
This show remains the biggest annual attraction at the Phillipsburg Mall, attracting thousands of mall walkers.
