A LONG LIST OF DRIVERS LISTED FOR GRANDVIEW'S FREEDOM 76 CLASSIC SATURDAY‏

FRIESEN, LAUBACH, PAUCH JR., PAUCH SR., GODOWN ONLY A FEW OF THE VISITORS PLANNING TO BE PART OF THE 45TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 MODIFIED CLASSIC AT GRANDVIEW ON SEPTEMBER 19
BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 16, 2015 . . . A variety of champions and standout performers not often seen in action at Grandview Speedway have made their intentions known to be a part of the 45th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic this Saturday, September 19th at the Berks County clay oval.
                The race, postponed from September 12 due to weather issues, will see preliminary events start at 7 p.m.
                The hugely popular short tracing racing event offering $25,000 to win is expected to attract a large field of racing talents. A number of visiting track champions such as Billy Pauch Jr., Rick Laubach, Stewart Friesen and others will be trying to add their name to the prestigious list of winners on Saturday on the one-third-mile, banked clay oval.
                Fan favorites trying for a win in the big event include Billy Pauch, Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Jimmy Horton, Meme DeSantis, Ray Swinehart, Ryan Godown, Wade Hendrickson, Willie Osmun, and a host of others. It will be a star studded event.
                Of course, as is the norm, there will be many other visitors testing their skills against the champions and the list includes P.J.Oliver, Dom Buffalino, Ryan Anderson, Ryan Watt, John McClelland and others. Add Craig Whitmoyer, winner of the September 11th ROC Sportsman Freedom 38 at Grandview to the talents trying for the Freedom 76 win.
                Previous winners, within the past 25 years, are eligible for guaranteed starting spots but must make an attempt to qualify in at least one event during the night of racing.
                The Saturday, September 19th event will include a full series of qualifying races, consolation events, the Pioneer Pole Buildings Cash Dash, the Don Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 and it is all topped off by the $25,000 to win Freedom 76.
                WAEB-790 AM radio personality and longtime NASCAR Modified racer Bobby Gunther Walsh has posted a $581 Hard Charger Award named in memory of the late Mike Bailey. TP Trailers has $250 for the Hard Luck racer. And there is lap prize money posted for the leader of many of the 76 laps.
                Advance adult tickets for the Freedom 76 will be on sale from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night at the track. Advance tickets are priced at $35.
                On race day the adult tickets will be priced at $40 while youngsters 6-11 pay just $10 and children under 6 are admitted free. For those choosing to go into the pit area the cost will be $45 and no special license is required. A September 26 rain date has been announced.
                Pits will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th with advance ticket holders admitted to the grandstands at 3 p.m. Ticket windows will be open at 3:30 p.m. with exciting racing action getting the green flag from starter Ray Kemp at 7 p.m.
                Fans and racers are reminded that there is a special Freedom 76 t-shirt available along with an information filled souvenir track magazine.
                All attending the event are reminded that all track policies regarding camping and parking are still in place and there will be no allowing of any objects being used to mark places in the ticket purchase and advance ticketholder lines.
                This will be the last Saturday event at Grandview Speedway until October 17th when the Halloween Party Thunder on the Hill special is presented featuring the a Modified/358 Modified event along with Sportsman and TSRS Sprints.
                And on Sunday, October 18th, 12 noon, the Outlaw Enduro racers will be back in action along with the Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
                Champions and outstanding performers from the 2015 season will be honored at the annual Awards Banquet set for the Gibertsville, PA Fire Co. Social Hall on Saturday, November 21.
