PRACTICE IS COMPLETE, 53RD SEASON OF STOCK CAR RACING ACTION READY TO GO ON SATURDAY, APRIL 4 AT GRANDVIEW
BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 3, 2015 . . . With the free-to-the-public practice season completed on Thursday night racers and fans are ready for some official stock car racing action at Grandview Speedway. The 53rd consecutive season of stock car racing is set to start on Saturday, April 4th at 7 p.m.
The season opening tripleheader will feature the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars with a series of qualifying events leading up to the exciting feature events in each division.
A stellar field of Modified stock car talents is expected with defending champion Jeff Strunk leading the way. He will have plenty of competition for the opening night Modified win with Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, Doug Manmiller, Meme DeSantis, Tim Buckwalter and a host of others expected to take part.
There will be no shortage of excitement with the BRC Late Models and Sportsman as both season titles are open for the taking. Late Model champion Randy Stoudt has retired and Sportsman champion Jared Umbenhauer has moved up to Modifieds.
A special attraction will be the appearance of Little Miss Motorsports Jayden Gursky who will be part of victory lane activities.
Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing action getting the green at 7 p.m. Again this season a Low Down & Dirty Meet and Greet will take place each Saturday near the main entrance and will feature racers from all divisions. It all gets started as the spectator gates open.
Adult admission for all regular Saturday night events is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.
Coming up on Saturday, April 11th is the first special event of the season with a 35-lap main event for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds being the attraction. The BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will also be part of the tripleheader. Adult admission will be $20 while youngsters 5 through 11 will pay $5 and those under 5 will be admitted free.
Season passes remain available for $350 and cover all the Saturday night events from opening night through the September Freedom 76 Classic.
