Rislone URC Sprint Series point leader Davie “No Panic” Franek will lead the field of URC competitors to the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, July 26 for the fourteenth race of the 2014 season. Franek of Wantage, NJ scored an impressive URC win at the Selinsgrove Speedway on June 28. The Selinsgrove victory for Franek helped in padding his point lead in his chase for his first ever URC Championship title.
On Friday night, August 1, the $4,000 to win Rislone Nationals will invade the Williams Grove Speedway. This high paying event will offer $1,000 for tenth and $325 to take the green in the 25 lap main event. Defending winner Mark Smith is expected to drive his MACH 1 Chassis sprinter in this event. Past winners include Tony Stewart (2012), Lance Dewease 2011, Daryn Pittman 2010, Aaron Ott 2009, Kenny Adams 2008, Ed Aikin 2007 and the inaugural winner was Pat Cannon in 2006.
On Saturday night, August 9, URC returns to the Selinsgrove Speedway for the first annual Kramer Cup. This event is presented to honor the memory of Kramer Williamson who lost his life in a sprint car crash at the Lincoln Speedway in 2013.
Another big event on the URC schedule is the $8,000 to win MACH 1 Chassis Championship at the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, September 27.
