BRC LATE MODELS FEATURED IN FIRECRACKER 40, NASCAR 358 MODIFIEDS, SPORTSMAN AND HOLIDAY FIREWORKS SHOW ON SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 2, 2014 . . . This Saturday night the always exciting BRC Late Model stock cars will be featured in their biggest event of the season at Grandview Speedway, the Firecracker 40, rewarding the winner wit h $2,000 plus bonus bucks from T.P. Trailers of Limerick. In addition fans turning out for the popular 4th of July weekend show on Saturday, July 5 will see the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Sportsman stock car racers in action. And topping the night will be the always impressive Holiday Fireworks show. In addition Late Model racer Kory Fleming and his Sleepy Hollow team will be giving away bicycles to four lucky youngsters.
                Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and at the same time the fan favorite Low Down & Dirty Meet and Greet featuring Modified racer Terry Meitzler, Sportsman driver Brett Gilmore and Late Model talent Kory Fleming will take place giving fans a chance to meet the drivers, take photos and collect autographs and get an up close look at their race cars.
                Coming off a string of impressive second place finishes young Dan Green has to be considered a strong threat to win the Firecracker 40 earning his first career victory in high style. However Randy Stoudt, looking to break the record for career Late Model feature wins, will be looking to add this big win to his impressive record. Multi feature winner Sean Merkel and Wayne Pfeil will be in action along with last week’s winner defending champion Jason Miller, six time Late Model titleholder Chuck Schutz, Rick Todorow, John Giesler and a host of others.
                NASCAR Whelen Modified point leader Jeff Strunk will be looking to make it two wins in a row in the 358 Modified feature as he works toward his 10th track title. Duane Howard, Meme DeSantis, Craig VonDohren, Doug Manmiller, Mike Gular and a host of others will be looking to keep Strunk out of victory lane in the 30-lap main event. Howard is coming off a big win in the 60 lap Race of Champions Modified main event run on Tuesday night at the Bechtelsville clay oval.
                And topping the Sportsman racing action will be tough to beat Jared Umbenhauer looking to get his seventh win of the season. Multi feature winner Brett Kressley will be challenging point leader Umbenhauer as will Craig Whitmoyer, Kenny Gilmore, Brian Hirthler and others.
                At least 12 events of racing will be presented topped by the 40-lapper for Late Models, 30-lapper for Modifieds and a 25-lap main event for Sportsman.
                Adult admission is $25 for this very popular fan favorite event while youngsters 6 thru 12 pay just $5 and kids under 6 are admitted FREE. Active military are always admitted FREE with proper ID.
                Coming up at Grandview on Saturday, July 12th, 7:30 p.m. is a four feature show that will include the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Late Models and Blast from the Past Vintage Cars. This night will be sponsored by first time sponsor A.D. Moyer Lumber.
                Open wheel fans should be marking their calendars for the second Open Wheel Spectacular of the season when the winged TSRS sprints and ARDC wingless midgets perform in a doubleheader show on Sunday, July 20th at 7:30 p.m.

Kory Fleming and Sleep Hollow Late Model team bike giveaway.  All active military with proper ID are admitted FREE.
Saturday, July 12, 7:30 p.m. A.D. Moyer Lumber Night featuring NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars plus Blast from the Past Vintage Cars.
Saturday, July 19, 7:30 p.m. Hatfield Quality Meats Night featuring NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.
Sunday, July 20, 1 p.m. Outlaw Enduro. 7:30 p.m. TSRS Winged Sprint Cars and ARDC Wingless Midgets featured in Open Wheel Spectacular.
All regular Saturday night racing events have a ticket price of $15 for adults with youngsters 12 and under admitted free. Active military with proper ID are admitted free.
