$2 DISCOUNT FOR SUNDAY SPRINT AND MIDGET SHOW WITH ADULT RAINCHECK FROM SATURDAY SPRINT AND MODIFIED EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

                Correcting an error, the Sprints on Sunday will be racing with wings

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 18, 2014 . . . Adult fans who attend the Saturday night URC sprint and NASCAR 358 Modified doubleheader, sponsored by RCN-TV, will be able to use their raincheck from that event to get a $2 discount on their adult ticket for the Sunday Open Wheel Spectacular that will feature TSRS WINGED Sprints and ARDC WINGLESS Midgets. Both shows have 7:30 p.m. starting times.

                “With the way the economy is these days we think the fans will appreciate being able to save a couple of bucks for the Sunday races,” said promoter Bruce Rogers. “We are anticipating a great show with a strong car count for this new Sunday night event. Some of our older fans will remember the midgets and sprints in action at Grandview on a regular Sunday night basis some years back.”

                Track public relations director Ernie Saxton also wanted to make fans aware that the Sunday sprint and midget show would have the sprints running with wings. “In a couple of our releases we used the term “wingless” and that was not correct,” said Saxton. “I apologize for the confusion and wanted fans to be sure that they are aware that the Sunday night event, the first Open Wheel Spectacular of the season, would feature WINGED Sprint cars and WINGLESS Midgets.”

                The Saturday night show will see the stars of the Rislone United Racing Company winged sprint car organization in action with the NASCAR 358 Modifieds featuring such top talents as Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Craig VonDohren, Meme DeSantis, Doug Manmiller and a host of others. This Saturday doubleheader is one of the most popular events of the season at Grandview Speedway.

                Adult admission for the Saturday show is $25 while youngsters 6 through12 pay $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Active military with proper ID are admitted for free.

                Sunday night admission for adults will be $15 (those with adult rainchecks from Saturday night will get a $2 discount), youngsters 6 thru 12 pay $5 and kids under 6 are admitted free.

Saturday, July 5, 7:30 p.m. Firecracker 40 for Late Models, Sportsman and 358 Modifieds plus Fireworks. Again this year Late Model racer Kory Fleming will be giving away bicycles to some lucky youngsters in the audience.

All regula r Saturday night racing events have a ticket price of $15 for adults with youngsters 12 and under admitted free. Active military with proper ID are admitted free.
