Bechtelsville, PA June 16, 2014 . . . Open wheel racing fans will be in their glory this weekend at Grandview Speedway with two big nights of racing that will include URC winged sprint cars and NASCAR 358 Modifieds on Saturday (June 21) and the first Open Wheel Spectacular of the season featuring the TSRS winged sprints and ARDC wingless midgets which is set for Sunday (June 22nd).
                Grandview Speedway management has also announced as a service to fans and racers they have connected to www.rainedout.com to have them provide information regarding rainouts via text and email. In order to participate you must go to the website, locate the Grandview Speedway link, and enter the information that is requested. Of course rainout information will continue to be provided at various internet sites, track telephone (610.754.7688) or at www.grandviewspeedway.com and via Facebook and Twitter.
                Jeff Strunk, a nine time track champion, will head up the NASCAR 358 Modifieds in the Saturday night doubleheader as he and Duane Howard continue their close battle for the NASCAR Whelen All American 358 Modified championship. More than 30 outstanding modified talents will be seen in action as part of a doubleheader show that also features the Rislone United Racing Company winged sprint cars.
                Brian Carber of Pipersville, PA currently leads the Rislone URC Sprint Series point chase heading to the Grandview Speedway.   
                Carber, a feature winner earlier this year at the Delaware International Speedway would like nothing more then to pull off a win at Grandview.    Kevin Darling of Wyoming, DE is hot off a URC win Saturday night at the Winchester Speedway, where he led wire-to-wire to score his first win of the season.   Grandview is considered by many to be one of the most challenging tracks on the URC circuit.
                Saturday night action will get the green flag at 7:30 p.m. with spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the RCN-TV sponsored night. Adult admission is $25 for this very popular special event while youngsters 6-12 are admitted for $5. Kids under 6 will be admitted free. There is free parking available on the speedway grounds.
                URC sprint racer Josh Weller and NASCAR 358 Modified driver Ryan Grim will participate in the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet at the main gate on 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
                Then on Sunday Hillborn Tri-State Race Saver wingless sprint cars will have defending champion Mike Haggenbottom leading the list of talent that will be seen in action. And it will be Trevor Kobylarz looking to add another ARDC midget win to his Grandview efforts. He won a midget feature last season at the Bechtelsville clay oval. Current ARDC point leader Steve Drevicki, who has two feature wins this season, will be looking to add to his win list.
                More than 50 sprints and midgets are expected to see action in a full series of qualifying events that get the green flag at 7:30 p.m. and lead up to 25-lap features in each division.
                On Sunday night two lucky fans will win a pair of tickets to the Verizon IndyCar 500 at Pocono Raceway on July 6th courtesy of WNPV-1440 AM radio and Pocono Raceway.
                Adult admission for the Sunday night show will be just $15 while youngsters 6 thru 12 pay just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.

Saturday, July 5, 7:30 p.m. Firecracker 40 for Late Models, Sportsman and 358 Modifieds plus Fireworks.
All regular Saturday night racing events have a ticket price of $15 for adults with youngsters 12 and under admitted free. Active military with proper ID are admitted free.
