NEW EGYPT, NJ – Competitors and fans will be rewarded for their attendance at June’s premier midweek event – the Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. ‘Dirty Jersey 2’ Super DIRTcar Series big-block Modified and 360 Sprint Car doubleheader – Tuesday, June 17 (rain date: June 18) at New Egypt Speedway.
The Friesen-Deyo Promotions team of superstar driver Stewart Friesen and special events promoter Brett Deyo of BD Motorsports Media LLC have assembled a long list of bonuses, incentives and fan-friendly promotions for the second annual spectacular. The event marks the only ’14 appearances by the DIRTcar big-blocks and 360 Sprint Cars at New Egypt: don’t miss it!
Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds race 60 laps for a $6,000-plus winner’s share. 360 Sprint Cars do battle in the ‘Turnpike 25’ paying a minimum of $3,000 to the victor under the leadership of the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS). The base payout for the evening, minus lap money and bonuses, tops $42,000!
The first BD Motorsports Media LLC ‘Loyalty Award’ drawings of the season will take place at the pre-race drivers’ meeting. Drivers who have attended the first two BD Motorsports Media events of the season – Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway April 6 and Thunder Mountain (N.Y.) Speedway May 20 – and attempting to qualify for the ‘Dirty Jersey’ at New Egypt will be entered into a drawing for $1,000 in loyalty cash bonuses.
Four drivers’ names will be selected at the drivers’ meeting via random draw. Each driver will earn $250 cash for their support of BD Motorsports Media this season. There is no sign-up to be part of the drawing or registration fee: it is just a “thank you” to those who have contributed to the outstanding start to 2014.
Lap sponsorships continue to sell at $25 per lap for both the Super DIRTcar Series big-blocks and 360 Sprint Cars. More than $1,500 in lap money has already been collected.
The 360 Sprint Car racers will be competing for a guaranteed starting position in the Utica-Rome (N.Y.) Speedway ‘Cole Cup’ $10,000-to-win, $500-to-start spectacular in September. With more than 50 cars on hand for last year’s ‘Cole Cup’ a guaranteed starting berth is a valued possession.
A handsome and growing list of awards has been assembled for the Super DIRTcar Series contenders. The complete list is viewable at the following link: http://bdmotorsportsmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/NESBonuses.pdf.
Fans, likewise, have not been forgotten in the ‘Dirty Jersey’ planning.
Thanks to Dietz & Watson, a pre-race picnic will take place from 5-6 p.m. in the turn-four area. Fans and racers can enjoy a free Dietz & Watson hot dog (while supplies last), fresh-baked rolls from Danny’s Pizza Pizzazz of Franklinville and Millville, N.J. and other assorted snacks.
Musician Tom Baz, well-known in the New Egypt area, will be providing entertainment from 5 p.m. through the start of hot laps.
Event headline sponsor Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. will be handing out commemorative special-event decals, free of charge, to the first 500 paying customers. A number of other giveaways will be distributed throughout the night from the ‘Dirty Girls’ and New Egypt Speedway staff.
Dave’s Racing Collectibles will be set up with collectibles on sale and a $50 gift certificate to be given away to a lucky fan.
The folks from RC2U will be on hand with their R/C track set up in the grandstand area.
There will be driver autographs, fireworks and other pre-race fun for fans of all ages!
Special ‘Dirty Jersey’ apparel and program books will be sold during the evening, as well.
Gates open at 4 p.m. for the pits and 5 p.m. for the grandstands. Sprint Car heat-in-the-motors gets underway at 6:20 p.m. Hot laps are planned for 6:45 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m.
Admission is $29 (Adults), $24 (Seniors ages 65 and over and Military with ID), $12 (Students 12-15) and FREE for kids under 11 years old. Pit admission is $35 with no license required.
In the event of rain, the program will be moved in its entirety to Wednesday (June 18).
