Dan Green #46 Enjoys Another Great Race Night At Grandview Speedway!‏

Dan Green #46 Enjoys Another Great Race Night!

Bechtelsville, PA – After a scheduled week off the G & H Motorsports NASCAR BRC #46 Dirt Late Model driven by Dan Green picks up where they left off at Grandview Speedway.
Scheduled to start 6th in the first Heat race, Dan moved to 5th because Cory Merkel #16 chose to start in the back. The 8 lap event got the green flag with Dan taking the #46 Hot Rod Processing to the inside and challenged Sean Merkel #118 and Kory Fleming #704 for 4th. The event went green for the entire 8 laps as Dan was challenged for the 5th spot by Randy Stoudt #10. Stoudt made his way past Dan to put the #46 in 6th at the checkered flag.
The G & H Motorsports team of Scott Green, Todd Lapp, Bob Higginbotham, Jesse Bivins, Greg Hoffmaster, Debbie Dutter, Cathy Green and Brett Higginbotham all did their part to get the Scott Select #46 ready for the feature race. They even changed a couple unplanned things as contact from close racing in the heat race bent a bar on the upper control arm.
Starting 6th in the feature event, being recorded by RCN TV, the Ken's Towing #46 took the green and stayed on the outside of Bill Henning #80 and crossed the start finish line in 5th at the completion of lap 1. The caution came out for a spun Cory Merkel #16 causing a single file restart with Dan lined up behind Rick Todorow #93 in 5th. The restart had Dan getting by Todorow, Ron Kline #3 and Steve Bulter #91 within 2 laps to put the #46 Auman Photography in second behind the 2013 Track Champion Jason Miller #44. The caution came out on lap 15 of the 25 lap feature for the #10 Randy Stoudt and #3 Ron Kline, the green came back out and Dan gave Miller a great challenge for the lead but Miller was able to hold on to the top spot. The yellow came out one last time for the #15 Steve Wilson which gave Dan a chance to put the #46 side by side with Miller and try to take the top spot. Miller was able to hold off the SquireSide CAFE #46 to take the win, with Dan finishing second for the third straight week holding off a charging Lou Egrie Sr #x4 at the checkered. With the 2nd place finishes Dan has been able to go from 11th to 5th in points as of June 28, 2014.
On Sunday after washing the car it was found that the Left Front Spindle was also bent from the contact in the heat race to give Dan a slight push in the feature. Even with the damage the #46 was second fastest in the feature and was able to challenge for the win!
