BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES DATES FOR 2014 CAR SHOW
MINERSVILLE, PA - October 17th, 2013
With a very successful 2013 season in the books, Big Diamond Speedway track owners/promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley have already started focusing their energy on preparing for an even better 2014 race season.
The first item on the agenda will be the 2014 Big Diamond Speedway Car Show, which will once again be held at the Fairlane Village Mall in Pottsville. The move in date for all vehicles will be on Sunday, March 2nd 2014 at 5:00 PM after the mall closes for the day. The cars will then be on display the entire week during regular mall hours. Cars will move out at 9:00 PM on Saturday, March 8th, once again after the mall closes for the day.
Driver interviews are scheduled for Friday, March 7th at 7:00 PM, with the always popular tire changing contest to follow immediately after the interviews are complete.
Awards will be given to multiple divisions, along with the overall best of show.
Entry fees for the show will be $20.00 per car. This fee is to cover insurance costs for the week. Any car from any division is welcome to be displayed during the week, with the focus of course being on the 358 Modifieds, Late Models, Sportsman, and Roadrunner divisions.
Entry forms and hold harmless agreements will be posted on the Facebook page and website soon. Until then, please email Tim Long at pengwin1@ptd.net, and copies of each form can be emailed to you in PDF form, with payment and mailing instructions included.

The 2014 season is tentatively set to begin on Sunday, March 23rd with a test and tune scheduled for any car from any track provided it has a roll cage. The following Sunday, March 30th is tentatively scheduled to be opening day with the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, and Roadrunners on tap. More details on opening day and a complete 2014 schedule will be released in the very near future.
