$8,000 TO WIN MACH-1 NATIONAL OPEN FOR 358-360 SPRINTS AT SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 28

The eighteenth event of the 2013 Rislone URC Sprint Series will take place at the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, September 28 with the thirteenth running of the Mach-1 National Open for 358-360 Sprints.    Time trials, two rounds of heat races and a pair of “B” Mains will be the qualifying protocol leading up to the thirty-five lap  $8,000 to win Mach-1 National Open.  This rich payoff will offer $5,000 to finish second, $3,400 for third, $3,100 for fourth and $2,550 for fifth.   $1,000 will go to the tenth place finisher with $500 paid just to take the green flag in the main event.   In the event of rain, Sunday, September 29 will be the rain date.

A huge payoff is on the line and so is the 2013 Rislone URC Sprint Series Championship with just four races remaining on the schedule.   JJ Grasso, the winner of the two previous URC events at the Selinsgrove Speedway  will be a favorite at Selinsgrove on September 28.   Grasso is the point leader in chase of the 2013 championship crown but still within striking distance is Josh Weller and Davie “No Panic” Franek.    Grasso, Weller and Franek  all have an eye on the $8,000 payday along with eight time URC Champion Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE.    The Selinsgrove event, with the two rounds of heat races will serve up an additional forty points in the overall URC point chase.

One of the hottest drivers at Selinsgrove Grove,  Pat Cannon of  Etters, PA will be a favorite in the line-up.  Cannon is hot off a 410 sprint car win at Selinsgrove.   The Empire Super Sprints are part of the show as well with several of their top guns planning to compete including Steve Poirier, Jason Barney and Paul Kinney.    Always a favorite at Selinsgrove Speedway in Mark Smith, driver of the Mach-1 360 sprint car.

Adult admission prices are $18, students $14 and the pit fee is $30.   Race time is set for 7 PM on Saturday night, September 28 and in the event of run, Sunday, September 29 will be the rain date with a 6 PM starting time.
