PPB 16^TH ANNUAL TRAFFIC JAM FOR MODIFIEDS SHARE THE SPOTLIGHT ON NAPA AUTO PARTS, NIGHT ON THE HILL TUESDAY, JULY 30

It could very well be one of the most prestigious events of the 2013 dirt track racing season and it all takes place at the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 30.

The Mach 1 410 Sprints and the Pioneer Pole Buildings 16^th Annual TRAFFIC JAM for modifieds will team-up for this spectacular, first time ever double-header. The Mach 1 Chassis 410 sprint feature will offer $5,000 to win the 35 lap main event as the modifieds chase a $5,000 first place prize for the sixty lap TRAFFIC JAM contest. 410 sprint stars Alan Krimes and Brent Marks are the two latest entries joining the talents of Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease, Brian Montieth and Mark Smith. The modified roster is impressive as well including defending event winner Danny Johnson, Ryan Godown, Bobby Varin, Stewart Friesen, Mike Mahaney, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Kevin Hirthler, Craig VonDohren and Mike Gular just to name a few.

The program will open with time trials for the 410 sprints followed by heat race qualifying for both the sprints and modifieds. A “B” Main will be offered for the sprints as the modifieds round out their starting field with a consolation event. This all leads up to the 35 lap Mach 1 Chassis sprint feature followed by the PPB 16^th Annual Traffic Jam for Modifieds going 60 laps.

A $500 cash bonus is posted by MACH 1 Chassis in Mechanicsburg, PA and will be awarded to the driver that has the best combined finished between the July 30 410 sprint show and the June 5 USAC event at Grandview. Mach 1 Chassis maintains a large inventory of open wheel parts and accessories at their Mechanicsburg, PA shop. They inventory enough parts and products to essentially a complete race-ready roller. Rain check tickets from the July 2 event will be honored at face value ($22) and tickets may be exchanged at any ticket window on race night, Tuesday, July 30 for an additional $3. With these two premier divisions on the same program, the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series is pleased to offer this show for a very reasonable admission price of just $25 for adults.

In the event of rain, Wednesday night, July 31 will be the rain date and offer a starting time of 7:30 PM.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay oval, celebrating their 51^st Anniversary season in 2013. The facility offers free parking, quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house. Race fans may take part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch warm-ups from inside turn four. Race fans are also invited to victory lane following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races to meet the drivers. Be ready to enjoy the spine tingling fireworks salute on the feature event parade lap.
