*Kenny Brightbill, the SpeedSTR point leader, appeared headed to his second victory of the season. With a healthy lead over Jeff Strunk, Brightbill's No. 19 suddenly slowed in turn two, the victim of mechanical issues, on lap 13. Forced to retire at that point, Brightbill was credited with a 13th place finish.
*Rick Eckert went on to pass Strunk and earn his third SpeedSTR triumph of the 2013 campaign at Kutztown's Action Track USA.
*Wingless 600cc point leader Jay Hartman notched his second feature win of the season, and his first since May 29. Hartman survived furious duel with Billy Pauch Jr. to score the victory.
*Harlee Schaffer passed her sister, Cheyanne, to grab the lead in the winged 270cc Micro-Sprint main event. Schaffer went on to register her first win of the year by holding off one of the best in the business, Ross Perchak, on two restarts near the end of the 30-lap feature race.
*Kyle Gruber roared past race leader Ray Nemeth, then flew to a narrow victory over Travis Bieber in the All Star Slingshot main event. It was the first win of the season for Gruber, who also won a race at Kutztown near the end of the 2012 season.
