FREE POCONO RACE TICKETS FOR LUCKY FANS AT GRANDVIEW NASCAR RACES SATURDAY


FIRST 200 PAYING ADULTS RECEIVE A FREE TICKET FOR POCONO ARCA 200, NASCAR CUP TICKETS FOR LUCKY FANS AT GRANDVIEW
Starting time for balance of the season is now 7:30 p.m.


BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 2, 2013 . . . In addition to seeing some exciting NASCAR stock car racing, fans coming out to Grandview Speedway on Saturday (May 4) will have the opportunity to win tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono on June 9th. The first 200 paying adults entering the main gate to see the tripleheader show of stock car racing will receive a FREE ticket to the June 8th ARCA race at Pocono Raceway.
The tripleheader show of stock car racing will include the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars in action. Main gate will open at 5:30 p.m. with racing getting the green flag at 7:30 p.m. The starting time is important to note since this is a change from the 7 p.m. starting time that had been used in April.
Fans will be asked to register at the Pocono Raceway table set up at the main entrance area to have the opportunity to win tickets for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race. The Stock Car Racing Experience will have a simulator in the first turn grandstand area along with the Pocono Raceway pace car.
Racing action will include all three divisions of racing running in a full series of qualifying events leading up to a 30-lap feature, starting 28 cars, for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds. The Late Models will top off their events with a 25 lap feature and the Sportsman go in a 25 lap feature.
The Modified division has had four different winners so far this season while the Late Models have had a different winner each week. The Sportsman have had three different winners.
Fans are reminded that three racers will be part of a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. along with their race cars. Fans have the opportunity to collect autographs, take photos and possibly even sit in the race cars.
Adult admission for the Saturday racing show is $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE.
There has been a change in the printed schedule released by Grandview management which will now show that the Outlaw Enduro events set for May 12th have been moved to Sunday, May 19th at 1 p.m. The Blast from the Past Vintage cars will also be included.
The Enduros will race in two 100-lap events while the Vintage cars will race in qualifying events topped by 15 lap feature races. Adult admission is $7 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted FREE. Two youngsters with lucky tickets will have the opportunity to flag the Enduro features. The Sunday Enduro/Vintage events are operated by an outside promotional group.
