REGULAR DIVISIONS ONCE AGAIN THE MAIN FOCUS AS BIG DIAMOND SCHEDULE ENTERS
MAY
MINERSVILLE, PA - APRIL 30th, 2013
On the heels of an April
race schedule that saw a successful "Money in the Mountains" event, two
rainouts, and the URC Sprint cars, the focus at Big Diamond Speedway now turns
to a very busy May.
This coming Friday, May 3rd, Big Diamond presents the
2nd of 5 races this season for the ZY Pyrotechnics 358 Modifieds paying $3,000
to win and $300 to take the green. Heat line-ups will be luck of the draw, with
standard handicapping procedures used to line up the feature field for the 30
lap main event. Also on the card will be the Sportsman and Roadrunners
competing in qualifying races and 20 lap feature events. Craig Von Dohren was
victorious in round one and has been on a roll to start the season. Can his
good luck continue, or will Jeff Strunk, Meme Desantis, Frank Cozze, current
point leader Kevin Albert Jr., Ray Swinehart, invader Billy Pauch Jr., or one of
a host of others find their way to victory lane?
The following week on
Friday, May 10th, the 358 Modifieds will be back in action for a regular 25 lap
event paying $2,750 to win. They will be joined on this night by the
Roadrunners, round #2 of the Street Stock series, and Legend cars. The
Sportsman car will have the night off.
Finally, on Friday, May 17th, a
regular show of 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, and Roadrunners will be
presented.
Little Diamond Speedway will be in action on Thursday, May 2nd
and again on Thursday, May 16th. Both evenings will feature 270cc Micro Sprints
and Slingshots competing in a full slate of qualifying events and 20 lap
features for each division.
The entire Big Diamond and Little Diamond
schedules, plus much more information can be found at www.bigdiamondspeedway.net. Also,
be sure to check out the Big Diamond Speedway Facebook page to keep abreast of
all the daily happenings at the track.
Thank you.
