VON DOHREN LOOKS TO GO 3 FOR 3 IN 30 LAP EXTRA MONEY
EVENTS
MINERSVILLE, PA - MAY 22nd, 2013
Friday, May 24th, Big
Diamond Speedway presents the third of five races this season for the 358
Modifieds going 30 laps and paying $3,000 to win/$300 to take the green. Also
on the card will be the Sportsman, Roadrunners, and Street Stocks.
So far
this season, Craig Von Dohren is perfect in these events, taking both of the 30
laps events run so far this season. Can he go three for three, or will two time
winner Jeff Strunk, last weeks winner Frank Cozze, or one of many other Big
Diamond hot shoes find themselves in victory lane when the dust settles? We'll
find out Friday night when starter Galen Kohler waves the checked flag over the
feature event.
First heat hits the track at 8:15 PM. The entire evenings
events will be brought to you by Ken's Tire, with locations in Pottsville,
Cressona, and Frackville.
The following Friday, May 31st, Big Diamond is
pleased to welcome the TSRS 305 Sprint Cars to the speedway for the first of two
shows this season. Led by defending champion Mike Haggenbottom, Rick Steif,
Steve Wilson, Joe Lord, Tim Tanner, and a host of others, this group is sure to
put on a fantastic race. Forty three cars have competed in this series to date
in 2013, and it is a double points show this evening, so a great field of cars
is expected. These cars may be a little slower than there 358/360/410
counterparts, but that doesn't take away from the racing excitement. The TSRS
305 Sprints offer clean, close, exciting racing for everyone to enjoy. They
will be joined on the racing card by the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Roadrunners,
and the 600cc Modifeds, who will also be making their first appearance of the
season.
Reminder that the next event on Little Diamond Speedway has been
rescheduled for Sunday, June 9th at 2 PM. On the racing card that day will be
the 600cc wingless Micro Sprints, 270cc Micro Sprints, and Slingshots.
Grandstand admission is only $8.00 with kids 12 and under admitted for free.
