SEVERAL SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNED FOR SATURDAY NIGHTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY IN 2013
BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 31, 2013 . . . Believe it or not the 2013 auto
racing season is quickly approaching and NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway is
anxious to get started with their 51st season of auto racing action.
The season, as announced previously, will get started with the annual free-to-the-public practice session on Saturday, March 30th at noon. This test and tune session is the last chance for racers to get their equipment in shape for the start of the chase for the lucrative point battles. Fans get a chance to see what is new for the 2013 season.
On Saturday, April 6th, 7 p.m. the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman racers will be featured in the first events counting toward the championships.
The first of the special Saturday night events takes place on April 13th, 7 p.m. with the NASCAR 358 Modifieds featured in two 35-lap feature races. The Late Models and Sportsman will also be part of the special night each running 25 lap features. There will also be a full slate of qualifying events for each division.
The very next day, Sunday, April 14th, 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduro Series will kick off with their first of six scheduled Sunday events along with the Blast from the Past Vintage Cars.
URC Sprint cars will be in action on Saturday, June 15th, 7:30 p.m., along with the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds. There will be no Sportsman or Late Model racing that evening.
Sportsman stock cars will be featured in a 40 lap event on Saturday, June 22nd along with the Modifieds and Late Models. The night is sponsored by Bashore Trucking/BFP Specialty.
The popular Firecracker 40 for Late Models is set for Saturday, July 6th at 7:30 p.m. The Modifieds will be part of that event along with the always crowd pleasing fireworks display.
On Saturday, July 27th the Bashore Trucking Pepsi Challenge as the top Modified racers running in one against one challenge events with the survivor taking home the big bucks. Of course a full show of Modified, Late Model and Sportsman stock car racing will be featured.
Modifieds will be in the limelight on Saturday, August 10th when the prestigious Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. Last year the event paid $20,000 to win as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration. Late Models and Sportsman will also be included. There is an August 17th rain date.
And the biggest event of the season, the rich BPG Racing Freedom 76, will close out the regular Saturday night racing season for the Modifieds on Saturday, September 14th. The event will offer $25,000 to win plus various perks and lap money. A September 21st rain date is in place.

Season tickets, priced at $335, are available by sending a check payable to Grandview Speedway to cover the number of tickets being ordered. The address is 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Please include a self addresses stamped envelope. Season ticket holders are entitled to a reserved seat for all regular Saturday night events, April through September.
