KEITH PRUTZMAN MOVES TO RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES IN 2013

Hamburg, PA (January 19, 2013) – Keith Prutzman and Prutzman-Powley Racing are ready to go racing on the road with their Buck Rubs Gentleman’s Club #28 Maxim sprinters with the Rislone URC Sprint Series in 2013.

Keith Prutzman will move to 360 sprint car competition and will be ready to start URC competition on May 10^th at Bedford Speedway. The team expects to see action in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Ohio during the season as well as Pennsylvania.

“We are really excited about getting the season started with URC,” shared Prutzman. “With the change to the Hoosier track tire in Central Pennsylvania for our 358 sprints as well as the 410’s, it appears to me that we just can’t afford to make the changes necessary and to buy the new $198 tires every week or two to be competitive. It is not an issue with Hoosier being selected to provide the tire, but it’s the cost of the rear tire that has been selected. No matter how long the tires can be considered useable, the top teams will still buy fresh tires to gain the advantage, no matter how slight, of the fresh left and right rear tires.”

“The URC tire is a bit less costly and the event payoffs are higher. We are actually in a position that we have 360 engines already and would need to be doing some substantial rebuild of our remaining 358 engines to race them. We can put that money into our 360 package and Curt (Zimmerman of Curt’s Racing Engines) and I feel we can be in a better financial position to start the year.”

Again in 2013 the team’s main sponsor is Buck Rubs Gentleman’s Club, located off Route 61 just north of Reading, PA at 89 Berkley Road. Buck Rubs is a BYOB club, requiring patrons to be 18 years of age or older to enter but 21 years old with a valid I.D. to drink alcohol. The club opens 6pm Tuesday through Saturday evenings. On Tuesday through Thursday nights closing time is midnight or later with “Half Price Cover Nights” on Tuesdays. On Fridays and Saturdays closing is 1am or later. Buck Rubs is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Prutzman has two of the team’s three Maxim sprint cars fitted with 360 cubic engines. The 28 team’s standard Maxim featuring a light blue paint scheme and the purple, orange and yellow Maxim Big Max will be used on the Rislone URC Tour. The team’s third car, last year’s white Maxim, is currently for sale but, if unsold, it could be fitted with a 305 engine for Keith to race on free weekends. All Buck Rubs 28 cars are painted by Zeke Powley and lettered by DELCO Signs.

PRUTZMAN HONORED AT AUTO RACING CLUB OF HAGERSTOWN

Keith Prutzman was honored on Saturday night, January 19, in Hagerstown, MD with a special Sportsmanship Award from the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown for sprint cars at Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, PA in 2012. Keith would like to extend his sincere thanks to ARCH for the honor and beautiful trophy.
