SSP to Host Huge Karting Event in 2013 on May 4 & 5

Newberrytown, PA (November 1, 2012) – On Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, 2013, the largest 2-day karting event will take place on the “Big Track” at the Susquehanna Speedway Park in its 58 year history when the Pennsylvania Elite Dirt Kart Series visits. The PEDKS is sanctioned by the World Karting Association (W.K.A.) based in Concord, North Carolina.

Series promoter Ron Little Sr. and speedway owner Todd Fisher are making the announcement jointly pending sanctioning approval from W.K.A. “More than 400 entries each day are expected for this historical event,” commented Little Sr. “This event will have a huge economic impact to the area’s restaurants, gas stations and hotels,” replied Fisher. Fisher added, “We are always looking for something new to bring to the area and we hope to make this an annual event on the track’s schedule each year.”

The PEDKS will open its four race tour at SSP with three remaining races with venues to be announced on June 8 & 9; June 22 & 23 and August 3 & 4. The raindate for the SSP event will be July 6 & 7, 2013.

Each raceday will be a complete and separate schedule featuring practice, qualifying and feature races for the 23 different classes of competition. Information about classes can be found at www.elitedirtkart.com.
