Brett
Hearn…for 38 years the Standard of
Excellence in Modified Racing…“We’re never satisfied. We’re always working to
get better, to stay ahead of the
competition. We’re all about winning races, championships, being
the best team in Modified
racing.”
HEARN TURNS 2012
FALL MODIFIED SEASON INTO HIS PERSONAL PLAYGROUND!
Wins
Syracuse , Sweeps
Eastern States, and Captures the Televised Charlotte World
Finals
Beginning with the February season openers in Florida , Hearn raced 80
times, scoring 20 victories, 57 top-five finishes and 66 top-tens. Hearn’s
38-year career record lists 824 feature race wins, 490 of which have been in
Big-Block Modified competition, 322 in Small-Block (358) Modified racing, and
two URC sprint car triumphs. 340 of Hearn’s wins---41 percent---have been in
extra-distance, extra-purse races of 50 laps or longer. The “Corporate Jet” has
won at 48 different tracks in 10 states and two Canadian
provinces.
Hearn continues to establish racing records that may
never be topped. On May 11, he won for the 100th time at
Malta , New York ’s
Albany-Saratoga Speedway. At Middletown , New
York ’s Orange County Fair Speedway, Hearn’s sweep of the
two headline Eastern States races raised his overall win total on the Hard Clay
track to 298 victories. It was his ninth Eastern States 200 win, and an
unprecedented 14th in the companion Eastern States Small-Block
Modified Championship race.
Hearn’s most dramatic victory, however, was his
10th triumph in the August 16 Mr. DIRT Track Modified USA title race
at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West
Lebanon , New York . It
was his first race back in action after being hospitalized for five days. He
started 23rd in a backup car in the 100-lap grind, and won the
$17,500 top prize in convincing style. “Winning Syracuse is always special and we had an
unbelievable weekend at Eastern States,” says Hearn. “But coming back and
winning at Lebanon Valley when just a week earlier I didn’t know if I’d be able
to race at all, was really big.”
During the
just concluded Northe ast dirt track
racing season, Hearn drove his familiar No. 20 big- and small-block Modifieds
fielded by the merged
Madsen Motorsports/B.H. Racing
Enterprises, Inc. team. Support for the No. 20 Modifieds came from Madsen Overhead Doors, Benjamin Moore Paints, Foxhill Campground, Don Kruger Motorsports LLC, WLR Construction, 417 Bus Line Ltd, Accurate Collision, Steve Hough Motors, and Fairways of Halfmoon. As in past seasons,
Hearn relied on Teo Pro Car
chassis and Enders Racing Engines.
Two-dozen product associates rounded out Hearn’s continued quest for Modified
racing supremacy.
