JON KELLER TRIUMPHS FOR
THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Swedesboro, NJ
(September 22, 2012) - On Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter
mile track, Jon
Keller won his third 600cc Micro-Sprint feature of the
year. Tyler
Reinhardt racked up his first career victory in the 270cc
Micro-Sprint main
event. Warren Stradley bested the competition in the
4-Cylinder Enduro Car
race.
After taking the lead on the second circuit, Jon Keller paced the
field for the remaining distance to triumph in the 20-lap 600cc
Micro-Sprint feature. Bryant Davis led the opening tour before Jon
Keller took command of the race. Tim Buckwalter moved into second
place
on the third revolution and began to track down the leader. At
the halfway
point, Jon Keller and Buckwalter were in heavy lap traffic
with Buckwalter
closing in on the leader. Following three caution
periods in the second
half of the event, Jon Keller repelled the
advances of Buckwalter to
preserve the win. Richie Keller made a late
run in the final five laps to
finish in second place. With Buckwalter
finishing in third, Davis and Lee
Nardelli completed the top five.
Richie Keller, Stephen Kemery and Lee
Nardelli won the 600cc
Micro-Sprint heat races. The consolation race went
to Carl Locuson.
In the non-stop 20-lap main event for the 270cc
Micro-Sprints, Tyler
Reinhardt won his first career feature at Bridgeport
Speedway.
Polesitter Steve Coslop led the opening lap before Reinhardt
gained
control of the event. In the final ten circuits, Reinhardt knifed
his
way through slower running cars as he worked his way to victory lane.
The runner-up spot went to Justin Stillwagon. Jeff Hartman wound up in
third with Coslop finishing fourth and Richie Keller coming home in
fifth. The 270cc Micro-Sprint qualifying events were taken by Dustin
Brown and Richie Keller.
For the sixth time this season, Warren
Stradley took the top honors in
the 20-lap 4-Cylinder Enduro Car feature.
Following a caution period
on the ninth circuit, Stradley scooted by the
top two of Scott Dunn
and Bucky Albright to gain the top spot for the
remainder of the
contest. Albright held on for second place with Jim Honker
completing
the race in third. Scott Dunn and Justin Howell rounded out the
top
five.
