HEAVY RAIN STOPS RACING AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Swedesboro, NJ (September 23, 2012) – During qualifying, heavy rains
moved into Southern New Jersey and stopped the racing program at
Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, September 22. Heat winners for the
Big Block Modifieds were Mike Barone, Stan Frankenfield, Jr. and Ryan
Watt. The Crate Sportsmen qualifying event was taken by Ricky DiEva.
Joe Robinson and Terry Griffin won the Outlaw Stock Car heat races.

Due to the postponement, an enhanced program of five feature events
has been created for Saturday, September 29, The Big Block Modifieds
will compete in a consolation race and a 30-lap main event to complete
the program from Saturday, September 22. Also, the Crate Sportsmen
will finish their postponed qualifying race and 20-lap feature. A
complete new program of heat races and features for the Big Block
Modifieds, Crate Sportsmen, and Outlaw Stock Cars will follow with
2012 champions being crowned in the Big Block Modified and Crate
Sportsmen divisions. In addition, a Kid’s Money Scramble takes place
at intermission. The 2012 Outlaw Stock Car championship will be
decided on Friday, November 9 when they will complete their feature
from Saturday, September 22.

With the extra action, grandstand gates for Saturday, September 29
will open at 4:00 p.m. and qualifying starts at 6:00 p.m. Adult
grandstand admission tickets can be purchased for $15 and students
(13-17) get in for $12. Children 12 and under are admitted at no charge.

Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest
Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile
dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and
is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania
and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
