GODOWN IS THE LATEST TO ENTER BPG FREEDOM 76, ENTRIES CONTINUE TO ROLL IN, COOLER RESTRICTIONS IN GRANDSTANDS
Racers reminded that early entry saves you money.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 22, 2012 . . . One of the most popular Modified racing talents with fans is Ryan Godown and the Ringoes, NJ driver, who has had a number of successes this season, has entered the BPG Racing Freedom 76 set to take place at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 15th.
Godown joins an impressive array of racing talent shooting for a victory in
the $50,000 to win Classic that tops the 50th Anniversary Season celebration for Grandview Speedway.
Six time BPG Freedom 76 winner Billy Pauch has entered as has Gary Hager, Rich Ricci Jr., Larry Wright, Bobby Varin, and a number of others. Also in the field will be recent Forrest Rogers Memorial winner Kevin Hirthler, Danny Johnson and Billy Decker, all guaranteed starters as a result of winning special events. As the race date gets closer many other outstanding names in Modified stock car racing are expected to enter and have a chance at a $50,000 plus payday. Lap sponsorship money for the 76 lap event is already approaching $3,000.
Entry forms for the race can be found at www.grandviewspeedway.com.
Lap sponsorships are just $10 and can be had by visiting the track office on race nights or calling Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797. Just two qualifying events remain available for sponsorship at $250 each and include an ad in the special BPG Freedom 76 Grandview Groove souvenir program book.
Fans are advised that there will be restrictions on the size of coolers in the grandstands. Only personal size coolers (preferably soft sided coolers) will be permitted and they must be placed on the floor board in front of the individual’s seat.
Security will be on the look out for “seat hogs”, people that save a number of seats for “expected friends” only to find they will not be coming.
Because of space restrictions based on the large number of race teams expected for this race the annual Freedom FanFest will not be presented this year. However plans are being made to have the event return in 2013.
And a lucky fan could go home with some serious cash in his or her pocket if they are lucky enough to win the 50-50 that will be handled by the Barto Fire Co. With the large crowd expected to fill the stands the payoff should be a huge one.
Advance tickets ($40 for adults, $10 for youngsters 6 through 12) are available at the speedway office on race nights. The tickets are also available by mail by sending a check/money order to cover the tickets being ordered to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope. Ticket orders must arrive no later than September 5th to guarantee they can be returned to reach you before the race date.
The night of racing will include a full series of qualifying events, the Minuteman 20, a Cash Dash and the running of the BPG Racing Freedom 76.
There will be additional gates and ticket windows open for the convenience of all customers. Advance ticket and season ticket holders will be admitted 30 minutes or more in advance of the ticket windows being opened for sale of tickets on race day.
Information on racing at Grandview Speedway can be had by checking in at www.grandviewspeedway.com or telephone 610.754.7688
