RISLONE URC
SPRINT SERIES
SPECIAL
EVENTS SPICE UP 2012 RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
The 65th
season of the United Racing Company will open at the Delaware International
Speedway on Saturday night, April 28 and a solid car count is expected, joined
by a roster of drivers with a serious shot of winning the 2012 Rislone URC
Sprint Series Title. "It's never too late to win another Championship" stated
former URC Champion Kramer Williamson of Palmyra, PA. Williamson holds
sixty-seven career URC wins and although he may be the "respected master" of
URC, he can still get the job done as he proved by winning the second race of
the season in 2011, which just happened to be at the Delaware International
Speedway.
Williamson
is excited about the coming season, especially with the several increased payoff
events in 2012. One event very attractive to Williamson is the Saturday night,
May 12 MACH1 Chassis Jack Gunn Memorial at the Selinsgrove Speedway. The 30
lap feature event will pay $3,500 to the winner and Selinsgrove is a track very
familiar to Williamson and his Pink Panther #73. Williamson was a former
champion at the always fast Selinsgrove oval that is well prepared by Track
Promoter Charlie Paige.
On Saturday
night, July 7 the first Bar's Leaks Nationals will take place at the New Egypt
Speedway. The 25 lap feature will offer $250 just to start the main event and
for the teams that finish in the top three, the payoff will be $3,000 to win,
$1,500 for second and $1,000 for third, if both the driver and owner made at
least half the shows up to July 7 and, both driver and owner are URC licensed
members. For teams that do not meet this requirement, the very attractive
weekly URC payoff will be paid.
Friday
night, August 3rd the URC sprints invade the Williams Grove Speedway for the
7th Annual Rislone Nationals. Defending race winners include Lance Dewease
(2011), Daryn Pittman (2010), Aaron Ott (2008), Kenny Adams (2007), Ed Aikin
(2007) as Pat Cannon won the inaugural event in 2006. The Rislone Nationals
will follow URC weekly handicapping procedures verses time trials, forcing the
top runners to charge from deep in the pack in their heat race events to earn
their starting position in the 25 lap feature. $4,000 will go to the winner
with an additional $1,000 bonus to be paid in two increments of $500, going to
the two highest finishing URC cars where the driver and owner are members and
they attend 50% of the events up to August 3rd.
The fourth
increased payoff event on the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series is set for the
Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night, August 4th. The 25 lap feature will pay
$2,500 to win, $1,200 for second, $1,000 for third, $750 for fourth and $700 for
fifth. Tenth will pay $450 and $225 will go to the twenty-fourth starter in the
feature event.
The URC
season finale at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 13 will again
carry the sponsorship from Pioneer Pole Buildings. This increased payoff event
will pay $3,000 to win.
For all the
details on these URC special events, please visit our website at www.urcsprints.com and go to the
competitors page to view the special event payoffs.
In 2012,
being a URC member will offer numerous payoff incentives as well as bonus money
to include Heat race and “B” Main payoffs to the
winners.
