BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 4, 2012 . . . With rain washing out the scheduled
practice session that had been planned for Grandview Speedway the
free-to-the-public practice session is now set for Friday, April 6th and will
run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All divisions of competition are invited to
participate.
Fans will be admitted free to the grandstands and will be able to go to the track office to purchase general admission tickets for the Saturday night, April 7, season opener.
“We are expecting a pretty good crowd to show up for the opening night action that features the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman racers,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “With that in mind we figured we would give fans the opportunity to buy their Saturday night season opener tickets at the Friday night practice session.
The Saturday show will get the green flag at 7 p.m. with spectator gates open at 5 p.m. The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will top their segment of the show with a 30 lap feature offering $2750 to win provided the winning car is carry T.P.Trailers decals clearly visible on both sides of the car. The Sportsman and Late Models will each run in 20-lap features. Admission for regular shows such as this one is just $15 for adults and youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE.
Texas Roadhouse Restaurant of Trexlertown, PA will be on hand to give dinners to the feature winners on opening night plus there will be kid’s coins, peanuts and free appetizer coupons for the fans in the stands.
Coming up on Saturday, April 14th is a 50th Anniversary Special with 50-lap features being run for the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models. The Modifieds will race for $4,000 to win while the Sportsman and Late Models will earn $1500 for a victory. And of course there is additional money for the winners provided they have the T.P. Trailers decals clearly visible on both sides of the race car.
Admission for adults will be $25 while youngsters 12 and under will be admitted for just $5. There is always FREE parking on the speedway grounds.
Showing that being a part of American Racer Cup works for all, Jeff Strunk was the lucky winner of an American Racer tire at the Bridgeport Speedway ROC race. The lucky winners were drawn by race winner Ryan Godown who has told us that he will be here at Grandview to race in the special big money events for the 358 Modifieds. Additional tires will be given out as the season progresses for those who are part of the American Racing Cup promotion that involves more than a dozen tracks including Grandview Speedway.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay NASCAR sanctioned track, is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA 10 miles north of Pottstown.
