"I can't be more excited about opening day" . . . . . .
ANDY BEST PREPS FOR RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES OPENER AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY, SATURDAY, APRIL 28
Twenty-nine year old Andy Best of Dover, DE will kick off his fourth season with the United Racing Company when their season opens on Saturday night, April 28 at the Delaware International Speedway. "I can't be more excited about opening day" said Best who will start the year with his first new car of his career. Best will be running a Triple XXX Chassis that will be powered by a Don Ott engine. "This is the best opportunity I've ever had, not only with a new car but a strong engine program as well. My crew chief Lonnie Judy of Edwardsville, DE will do his part with the set-up and I'll need to do my job with the driving", added Best.
In 2012, the strategy for Andy Best is to show up to win and take the point as they come. Best continue to say, "This year we will be as good as any team at the start of year and our goal is to just get better as the year rolls on". With sponsorship from the Judy Family, Best Boarding Kennels and Ken Darling & Sons, the Andy Best team is encouraged that the playing field will be far more even for all the race teams this year.
URC announced earlier in the year that they will go with double file restarts to spark some excitement and late race passing. "I'm not a big fan of it but for us, the double file restarts will not be a deal breaker. . . .we're running URC and as far as the double file restarts, it should make for some great action", added Best.
"This is my fourth year with URC and I have to say, URC is very fair with what they do". Best said, "The $159 right rear tire is great, and at the end of the day, it will probably encourage us to run more new tires to be more competitive, so it's a good thing for us. I'm also 100% on-board with how URC is handicapping the special events, looking out for their competitors but using the weekly handicapping format."
The Rislone URC Sprint Series will open at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, April 28 with the first of a twenty race schedule. URC tracks for 2012 include Delaware International, Black Rock Speedway, Selinsgrove, Big Diamond, Williams Grove, Lincoln, Potomac, New Egypt, Winchester, VA, Grandview and the Port Royal Speedway.
Joining Andy Best on the URC Roster of 2012 will be Ed Aikin, Kramer Williamson, Robbie Stillwaggon, Joey Biasi, Randy West, Art Liedl, Chad Trout, Jason Clauss, Kevin Darling, Mark Bitner, Troy Betts and Tim Hogue to name a few.
