NEETS ASPHALT TOUR RETURNS TO THE TRACK THIS SATURDAY; DIRT RACING
BEGINS MARCH 31st…

March 4, 2012 – Pottstown, PA – In less than seven days, the North
East Enduro Tour Series (NEETS) returns to the confines of the 1/3
mile paved oval of the Wall Stadium (NJ) Speedway. It is the second
points paying race of the season on the Scott Dunn Auto Service
asphalt series. Meanwhile, several of the Grandview (PA) Speedway
drivers showcased their equipment this past weekend at the Coventry
Mall of Pottstown PA, in preparation for their Enduro season which
begins under the lights on March 31st at the track celebrating their
50th anniversary season of competition.

This Saturday afternoon’s “Shamrock Shakedown” at Wall Speedway
will be contested rain or shine. The Small Car endurance race is
scheduled for 104-laps, known as the “Four Leaf Clover 104”, while the
Big Cars are competing in the same distance in their contest, the
“Lucky Charms 104”. A 25-lap Ladies Race will conclude the afternoon’s
activities.

The season’s opening points races took place at Wall Speedway
back on January 14. Well-established Wall competitor, Dan Birdsall of
Brick NJ, won the Small Car race while popular racing veteran “Dr.
Destruction” Howie Bott of Budd Lake NJ was the Big Car endurance
winner. Linsey “the rocket” Rummel of Parkerford PA emerged victorious
in the Ladies Race. Each victory gave the winning driver an early
points lead in an asphalt tour which will consist of nine points
paying events at Wall Speedway in 2012.

This will be the first event contested under the new 2012 rules.
Each car will pass through pre-race tech which begins at 8:00AM. All
competitors are asked to arrive early, just in case you must make some
changes to your racing equipment in order to compete in the
afternoon’s events. Pit gates will also be open for registration. For
complete info on how to pre-register, 2012 rules and all other
important information, be sure to visit the tour’s official website
located at www.neetsracing.com .

On Saturday March 10, a drivers meeting will be held promptly at
12:00PM. The Small Cars will hit enter the speedway for their line-up
at 12:45PM and the first event goes green at 1:00PM. The order of
events will be Small Car Enduro (104-laps), Big Car Enduro (104-laps),
Ladies Race (25-laps). Spectator admission for the Shamrock Shakedown
is just $10.

Race teams are reminded that events are scored utilizing AMB
computerized transponders. Each team may bring their own personal
unit, or rent one from NEETS at a $20 fee. Transponder rentals will
take place during the registration period.

As the asphalt series looks ahead to their second event of 2012,
the Scott Dunn Auto Service Dirt Series competitors are preparing for
their new racing season which beings on Saturday March 31st. This past
weekend at the Coventry Mall several participants displayed their ’12
equipment including: Crystal & Scott Hoffmaster, Phil Levering,
Jennifer Schwager, Kevin Hausman, Joe Kunkel, and Alan Brightbill.

C. Hoffmaster will return to the driver’s seat this season in her
husband Scott’s ’99 Grand Am #3s. Crystal gave birth to the couple’s
second son on Dec. 14th and is looking forward to returning to the
fast 1/3 dirt oval of Grandview Speedway. Of course, Scott has been
involved in dirt track racing for many seasons as his father, Greg
Hoffmaster, competes in the Late Model division at Grandview.

Known as the “Iron Man” to his fans, Phil Levering is prepared
for a busy season on the Dirt Tour. The Parkerford PA based racer will
field four cars with drivers including himself, Brian Moyer and Linsey
Rummel. Levering’s 1991 Honda Prelude (which was the 2010 NEETS Small
Car Championship machine) was displayed in the mall show and will be
Phil’s choice for driving equipment in 2012.

Second year competitor, Kevin Hausman will steer the Jason Derr
prepared “XXX” car this season at Grandview. Hausman took over the
driver chores for a couple of late season races. Meanwhile, Jennifer
Schwager will also return this year in hopes of attaining the 2012
Ladies Division championship aboard her #P13 car. Last season,
Schwager competed within the front three on a regular basis.

Two of the NEETS Big Car machines were displayed at the mall. Joe
Kunkel of Alburtis returns to the track with a new look on the #32,
which is a 1994 Caprice. Rookie to the series “Big Al” Brightbill
plans to compete at Grandview this year aboard his sharp looking #55
machine. Joe and Erin Cutri of NEETS were on hand during the show and
distributed the new 2012 NEETS Tour schedules, which are jam packed
for the new racing season.

When the NEETS tour hits Grandview Speedway for the Spring Fling
on March 31st it will take place after a free to the public open
practice, which happens earlier in the afternoon. Pit gates will
re-open for the enduro at 4:30PM. The drivers meeting takes place at
5:45PM and Small Car line-up is slated for 6:15PM. The first event
(Small Car 150-lap Enduro) takes the green flag at 6:30PM followed by
Big Car Enduro (150-laps) and Ladies Race (25-laps). Adult General
Admission to the stands for the enduro portion of the show is just
$10.

In 2012, NEETS will be competing at three different speedways,
Wall, Grandview and the New Egypt (NJ) Speedway. Complete information
