Charlie Svetec of Bethlehem, PA passed away last Sunday at his home at the age of 63-years-old. Svetec raced Sportsman/Modified cars at Nazareth Raceway for many years prior to going into the URC Sprint cars, always racing his familiar No. 38 cars, which he owned and drove. He was a school teacher and a great supporter of local racing on dirt for many years. He passed away at home after a long bout with cancer. Charlie will be buried in Bethlehem, PA on Friday afternoon. Rest in peace Charlie. We all, certainly, enjoyed our time with you round the raceways. (Words by aarn columnist, Randy Kane) |
