URC LOOKS TO 2012 AND BEYOND,

AMERICAN RACER TIRE RETURNS TO URC WITH GREAT PRICING, RULES TWEAKED, SCHEDULING UNDERWAY AND URC HALL OF FAME ENTIRES ANNOUNCED

Plans for the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series are well underway and a big announcement includes the return of American Racer as the official tire of URC. Some great pricing is being offered with URC using a portion of their sponsorship revenue to offset the tire cost. URC Managing Member John Zimmerman worked out the tire prices for 2012 which includes $159 for right rears, $155 for left rears and $138 for all front tires. "By using URC sponsorship revenue to offset the tire pricing, all teams will benefit all season long, and at a time when the car owners will benefit and offset the nightly cost, commented Zimmerman. During the second half of the 2011 URC season, Managing Member Cher Zimmerman spent time with each URC team to gather suggestions on possible cost savings in reference to car specifications. After much review and discussion, the following changes were decided.

2012:

No Wickerbill on the top wing

2013:

Flat top wing

2% tolerance on 360 displacement

1,500 lb weight rule

additional changes to be considered

Managing Member Bob Miller is already working on the 2012 schedule of events that includes two visits to both Big Diamond and Port Royal. URC is planning events at the Delaware International Speedway along with Bridgeport, Georgetown, New Egypt, Grandview Lincoln, Williams Grove, Selinsgrove, Black Rock and the Rolling Wheels Raceway. There is consideration of some possible non-wing events as well. A new twist in 2011 for URC is instituting the Delaware Start on a weekly basis. All original starts and all restarts up to, two laps to go will offer the Delaware Start where the pole car sits along in the first row and all other cars are double-file. The reason for this change is to promote more passing and to provide drivers who start deep in the pack the opportunity to advance to the front with exciting finishes to be the outcome. Numerous special and higher paying events will again be part of the 2012 Rislone URC Sprint Series schedule of events.

In 2010, the United Racing Company formed the URC Hall of Fame and in 2011, we are pleased to add the following dignitary's to list of all time greats that have contributed to the success of URC. The inductees for 2011 include Dave Kelly, Buck Buckley, Bert Brooks, Scats Anfuso, Louie Kunz and Buzz Rose.
