Beautiful Weather Conditions Set for Short Track SuperNationals at Five Mile Point Speedway This Weekend - Practice Begins Tonight at 6 p.m.


KIRKWOOD, NY - The fourth edition of the Short Track SuperNationals will be run under the best weather conditions in the event's history at Five Mile Point Speedway this weekend.

Tonight (Friday), gates open at 5 p.m. for practice. Track time is set for 6-9 p.m. Pit admission is $20 and a $5 donation to flood victims in the area will be accepted for those wishing to watch from the grandstand area. A post-practice bonfire is planned off the backstretch.

Saturday, the stars and cars from NY, PA, NJ and DE all converge at the quarter-mile oval for a 50-lap main event. Lap money, bonuses, contingency awards and more are at stake. A 50-lap feature headlines the program for the Modifieds. Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and a Figure Eight event complete the card.

Saturday's time schedule is as follows:
Gates open for pits - 2 p.m.
Gates open for stands - 3 p.m.
Street Stock/Four Cylinder Hot Laps - 4 p.m.
Street Stock/Four Cylinder Qualifying - 4:45 p.m.

Modified Hot Laps - 5:45 p.m.

Modified Heats - 6:30 p.m.

Remember a family of five can attend for just $40 - two adults, three seniors/students, five hot dogs and five sodas.
