HOUSE OF THUNDER HALLOWEEN PARTY SET FOR GRANDVIEW FINALE. . . .

GRANDVIEW THUNDER 5-25'S FEATURES ONLY PROGRAM PLUS DEME DERBY PLANNED FOR SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 15

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will close out the 2011 season with the popular House of Thunder Halloween Party at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 15. On the program will be the Grandview Thunder 5-25's, a features only program that will include five 25 lap feature for five premier divisions that include the 358 Modifieds, the URC Sprints, ARDC Wingless Midgets the Sportsman and the Legends cars. If that's not enough, also on the program will be the Garden State Vintage Stocks Cars competing in a feature event, the Vince's Towing Legend's Owner race plus a Monster Smash Demolition Derby. The program will get underway at 6 PM with gates opening at 4 PM.

Fans and race teams alike enjoy the features only format. Since there is no qualifying, the best drivers of five different features are invited to take part in the show, relieved of the pressure of qualifying. For the race fans, the show opens with the first of five 25 lap feature events.

The House of Thunder Halloween Party will mark the 102nd Thunder on the Hill event since the series began in 1990. The top twenty drivers will be invited to take part in each feature event and timed warm-ups will be used to determine the starting positions for the 358 Modifieds and Sportsman. For the ARDC Midgets and Legends, their feature line-up will be determined off points. For the URC Sprints, Pioneer Pole Buildings is the sponsor of their $3,000 to win 25 lap feature. URC will make this their final point race of the season so it is a critical event for the season long URC point chase.

Sportsman and Modified drivers planning to run the features only event are asked to pre-enter by calling Bob Miller at 443 513 4456. At the present time, we have just 4 spots open for the sportsman feature.

In addition to the five 25 lap feature events, the Garden State Vintage Stocks cars will have a feature event. Also on the program is the Vince's Towing Legend Owners Race, a special events for past car owners who raced at Grandview. The night cap of the House of Thunder event will be the Monster Smash Demolition. A crash and smash event taking place on the Grandview Speedway homestretch.
