FATHER AND SON, BILLY AND BILLY JR. PAUCH, ENTER BPG RACING FREEDOM 76, $20,000 GOES TO WINNER OF 41ST ANNUAL CLASSIC

BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 25, 2011 . . . The race many consider the granddaddy of the big money modified stock car racing events, the BPG Racing Freedom 76, set for Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 17th will have legendary dirt track racer Billy Pauch and his son, Billy Jr., a rising star in dirt track racing, in competition.
Pauch is a six time winner of the annual classic, having last won in 2000. Billy Jr. has never won the big race but has been a winner in modified stock car racing events. It would be an impressive addition to the resume of either driver to be a winner on September 17th and take home the $20,000 plus in prize money.
Pauch Sr. and Jr. will have their hands full when they take on some of the toughest competition there is in area modified racing. Eight time track champion Jeff Strunk, looking for his ninth Grandview title, will be looking for his fourth Freedom 76 win while Craig VonDohren, a four time winner and all time leading feature winner at Grandview, will be after his fifth Freedom 76 win.
Defending track champion Duane Howard, a three time winner, will be looking to win his fourth classic especially since his sponsor/car owner sponsors the big event.
Meme DeSantis has won the last two BPG Racing Freedom 76 events and is looking to make it three in a row and a career total of four classic wins. DeSantis is known for his peak performance efforts in the big money events.
And there are a number of other top performers expected to be in the field trying for the victory in what has become one of the most prestigious dirt modified races in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern areas.
Fans can expect to see a several outsiders on hand, in addition to Billy Sr. and Jr..
A full series of qualifying events including the popular Schaefer Motorsports Minuteman 20 will lead up to the running of the 76-lap race that has started as many as 40 cars in the past. Top performers in qualifying events will also participate in a $1,000 to win Cash Dash.
Adult admission tickets for the race are priced at $30 while youngsters 6 through 11 pay $10. Kids under 6 are admitted FREE.
Racing will get the green flag at 7 p.m.
A September 24th date will be used should there be a rain out.
