THE JERSEY RUSH AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY

BILLY PAUCH & J&M MOTORSPORTS TEAM UP TO CHALLENGE 410 SPRINT FIELD IN THE JERSEY RUSH AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY TUESDAY, AUGUST 30

It's a team that worked very well together in the past, and without a doubt, they will again be a threat on Tuesday night, August 30 when the 410 sprints invade the New Egypt Speedway for, The JERSEY RUSH.

Billy Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ and winner of one-hundred feature events at New Egypt will pilot the J&M Motorsports 410 sprint. Car owners Scott Mertz and Gene Jenkins are just thrilled about their return to New Egypt Speedway. "New Egypt was the first race track where we teamed with Billy Pauch and we won that race the first night out in 1999", commented Scott Mertz. Along with one win at New Egypt, Pauch and the J&M Motorsports Team won the Grandview King of the Hill in 2001, the Hagerstown Octoberfest in 1999 and a CRA non-wing event at Grandview. This team just clicks when they come together. "Billy is a top notch competitor no matter what he's driving", added Mertz. The J&M Motorsports Team is out of Milton, PA and they are already very busy preparing their #55 410 sprint car for their return to New Egypt Speedway.

Pauch will be shooting for the $5,000 first place prize in the 30 lap JERSEY RUSH 410 Sprint feature. He will also doing double duty as well, competing in the $3,000 to win 30 lap Big Block Modified feature that will share the headline billing for this block-buster first time event on Tuesday night, August 30 know as, The JERSEY RUSH.

It was Billy Pauch that won the first ever 410 sprint show at New Egypt Speedway in 1999. There is no doubt that Pauch will have his hands full with a strong roster of pre-entries that include Daryn Pittman of Owasso, OK, Greg Hodnett of Memphis, TN, Justin Henderson of Sioux Falls, SD, Lance Dewease of Fayetteville, PA, Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA, Todd Shaffer of Millerstown, PA Mark Smith, Dave Ely, Frank Cozze, Davey Sammons, Curt Michael, JJ Grasso, Kevin Nouse and Doug Esh just to name a few. There's only one thing to say. . . the gangs' all here!

The 410 sprint cars are the fastest cars on dirt and this will be one event, you just can't miss. The 410 Sprints and the Big Block Modifieds in a "double trouble" Twin 30 lap feature events will be the highlight. The 410 sprints will compete in time trials, qualifying heats and a "B" Main as the Modifieds will battle in heat race events and a consolation all leading up to a pair of 30 lap feature events. The modified expected entry list includes Billy Pauch, Rick Laubach, Willie Osmun, Jimmy Horton, David VanHorn, Duane Howard, Richie Pratt and Wade Hendrickson.

A Driver & Crew Meet and Greet is being planned by race organizers for fans to get an up close look at the drivers and cars. The Meet & Greet will take place from 5-6 PM. The gate from Victory Lane (behind the turn four seating) to the pit area will open to allow spectators to go pit side for one hour prior to the start of this blockbuster event. Come out early and enjoy a great night of racing.

This event is a co-promotion between Lenny Sammons, his sons and special events organizer Bob Miller.
