$25,000 Point Fund Will Be Distributed Nov. 11 At Big Diamond Speedway Awards Banquet; Champions Crowned At Big D September 2

MINERSVILLE, PA - A $25,000 point fund will be distributed when Big Diamond Speedway honors its champions this autumn.

The Schuylkill County clay oval - under the leadership of Fritz and Krista Roehrig in 2011 - will crown its champions Friday night, Sept. 2 in The Station House 358-Modified, U.S.S. Achey Sportsman and Wooden Keg Tavern Roadrunner divisions. Race time is 7:45 p.m. on Season Championship Night with the XCel 600 Modifieds joining the program.

Those point-title winners - and the top point-earners - will be recognized officially at the 2011 Big Diamond Speedway Awards Banquet to be held Friday night, November 11 at The Pottsville Zone, Peacock Street, Pottsville, Pa. Sunday Enduro Series drivers in the Big and Small Car divisions receive their laurels at the awards ceremony as well. A number of special awards will be handed out during the night.

"We wanted to recognize the drivers and teams who supported us during the season," said speedway owner Fritz Roehrig. "We're looking forward to the Awards Banquet where the champions can celebrate with their peers."

Aside from the Big Diamond Speedway point fund, 358-Modified drivers are also eligible for cash awards, prize money and contingencies through the American Racer East Coast Modified Cup program.
