The 14th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will return to action at the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night,

August 3rd with the 14th Annual TRAFFIC JAM, sanctioned this year by the Race of Champions. Race night sponsor Chad Sinon/BPG Motorsports have increased the winner's share to $8,500, making this year's TRAFFIC JAM the richest in history. Along with the modifieds will be the RoC Sportsman competing in a series of qualifying events all leading up to the $1,000 to win 40 lap feature event. This great night of racing will also offer race fans a very affordable $20 admission for adults, Children 6-10 $5 and children under six will be admitted for free. The pit fee will be $30 and a license is not required. In the event of rain, Thursday night, August 4th will be the rain date.

Race fans are always an important part of every Thunder on the Hill event and Wednesday night will be no different. After all the qualifying is complete, the Chad Sinon/BPG Motorsports TRAFFIC JAM starting field will line-up on the homestretch. Weather permitting, the gate at the flag stand will open, allowing spectators from the grandstands to come down on the homestretch and meet their favorite drivers. This FANFEST activity is a crowd pleaser as hundreds of race fans flood the homestretch to gather autographs and take pictures. And if you're one lucky fan, you may be the one who makes the call. . . Gentlemen start your Engines!

With a mighty roar the starting field which is expected to include Billy Decker, Stewart Friesen, Ryan Godown the recent winner at the Battle at Lincoln, Danny Johnson, Duane Howard, Jimmy Horton, Rick Laubach, Brett Hearn, Kevin Hirthler, Craig VonDohren and Doug Manmiller will pace the field to the green flag in the 60 lap TRAFFIC JAM.

For the sportsman, Joe Adams Lettering will offer a $50 bonus to the top five drivers that have pre-entered for the event. Special thanks to Joe Adams Lettering for this much appreciated bonus.

Gates will open at 5 PM on race night with qualifying getting underway at; 7:30 PM.

Spectators are also invited to take part in the Inside/Out Promotion which allows you the race fan to watch warm-ups from the fourth turn infield area. If you have never seen the cars on the track from this vantage point, you must try it on Wednesday. Just sign up when entering the grandstand.

And always remember, there have been 95 Indianapolis 500's, 52 Daytona 500's and on Wednesday night, you will witness the one-hundred and first Thunder on the Hill event.
