NAPA TO SPONSOR DUTCH CLASSIC AT KUTZTOWN FAIR SPEEDWAY ON AUGUST 3

Kutztown, Pa. - July 5 - By now, everyone is familiar with the catchy "NAPA Know-How" jingle that is part of the auto parts giant's television commercials during NASCAR events. On Wednesday, August 3rd, the company's local retailers will prove that "NAPA Knows How" to support local motorsports events, too.

The NAPA Dutch Classic will be presented at the Kutztown Fair Speedway, and the event will spotlight the Briggs & Stratton All Star Slingshots by Tobias. The Wingless 600cc and Winged 270cc Micro-Sprints, along with the Xcel Modified Sportsman, will also be on the menu that night, but the All Star Slingshots will take center stage as they compete in a Mid-Atlantic Silver Tour Regional race that is also part of Slinger Speedweeks.

"With so many NAPA stores in and around the Kutztown area, combined with their commitment to national and local auto racing, makes this sponsorship a natural," said Kutztown Fair Speedway promoter Kerry Meitzler. "We appreciate their support of the Dutch Classic and we really believe they will benefit from this partnership. Kutztown and Berks County race fans always support those businesses that support racing."

All Star Slingshot teams should take note that pre-entry forms for the NAPA Dutch Classic are now available on the track's website, www.kutztownfairspeedway.com. The entry forms will also be available at the track, beginning July 13, and they can also be picked up at the following NAPA stores in Pennsylvania: Allentown, Boyertown, Easton, Emmaus, Kutztown, Macungie, Nazareth, Pennsburg, Quakertown, Walnutport.

In New Jersey, the pre-entry forms can be found at NAPA locations in Clinton, Flemington, Hackettstown, and Stewartsville.

Racers will benefit by registering early (the pre-registration deadline is July 20), saving $10 on the car entry fee. Fans should visit the NAPA stores listed above, too, for coupons that will admit Adults to the grandstand at the Student ticket price of $5.00.

The NAPA Dutch Classic will feature the All Star Slingshots in time trials, two rounds of heat races, last chance qualifying races, and a 30-lap A-Main. The winner will receive $750, based on a minimum 30-car field, with many other awards to be handed out as well.

Gates open at 4 p.m. on August 3rd, with warm-ups at 6:30 and racing at 7:00.

Rain date for this event is Wednesday, August 10.
