The Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek begins this Saturday evening June 25, and continues through Sunday July 3. The first night of racing is at the Lincoln Speedway near Hanover.

The Sprint Cars kick off their Speedweek with the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Race, a 30 lap affair with $7000 on the line for the winner. The Legends cars will also be part of the program on the 3/8th mile banked Lincoln Speedway clay oval.

After Lincoln it's off to the west, as speedweek visits the full half mile Bedford Fairgrounds oval on Sunday June 26. The racing action at Bedford will conclude with a 30 lap feature paying $5000 to the winner. Bedford's own Super Late Models will also be on the racing card. With Monday being the only off day in Speedweek, the Bedford show has a raindate for Monday June 27.

On Tuesday the series moves east to the tight confines of the high banked quarter mile Grandview Speedway for thunder on the Hill. For the Sprint cars, Grandview offers up a 35 lap feature with $5000 to the winner. Grandview's own popular 358 Modifieds will join the sprint Cars on this show. This event will mark the 100th Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event since 1the first race in 1990.

On Wednesday June 29, the show moves "South of the Border" for action on the lightning fast half mile Hagerstown, Md Speedway. Another 30 lap feature with $5000 on tap for the winner. The vintage race cars of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing will be part of Hagerstown's show.

The fairgrounds oval in Port Royal will offer the first of two 2011 Speedweek shows on Thursday evening. This one at the Port concludes with a 30 lap feature paying $5000 to the winner. The Prostocks will be part of the program.

The biggest event of Speedweek is Friday's Mitch Smith Memorial Race at the historic half mile Williams Grove speedway near Mechanicsburg. Honoring one of the area's most exciting and successful drivers, the Smith memorial offers $10,000 to the winner of the 30 lap feature event. The show at "The Grove" will also feature the SpeedSTRS and Fireworks.

It's back to Port Royal on Saturday July 2 for another 30 lap feature with $5000 again on the line for the winner. The Super Late Models are part of this program.

Speedweek concludes on Sunday July 3 at the massive Selinsgrove Speedway. The Jan Opperman Memorial Race is another 30 lapper with $5000 on the line for the winner. The ever popular Super Sportsman racers are also on the slate. Since the July 4 holiday falls on Monday, that date will be used as a raindate for the Selinsgrove show.
